Sucks right now, but we’re going to win these games next season and for the next decade and the league will be truly screwed. We’re so close man.

  2. zackarykapowski

I love Mosely but his late game play calls are fucking bad. We NEVER get a good shot in those situations.

  3. Blew 3 playoff intensity games in a row, at home. Not good for a play-in team.

  4. JeemboJonez

Banchero blew the game up with 2 TO in 30 seconds, that’s tough.

  5. Confident-Bell-3340

Going to be in a Play-in spot very soon.

  6. totkbotw23

What’s up with the doomers, this team is gonna be special, it doesn’t happen overnight.

  7. Jboyneymar

Paolo 7 turnovers, Paolo and Franz combined for 13/31, starters went 4/17 from 3, mose didn’t challenge at the end. Disappointing

  8. LRC_Kevin

Paolo deserves the heat from the fanbase tonight… but the one thing that I love about Paolo is he is more pissed off then any of us watching at home. Dude has made it clear in the past how critical he can be of himself, so I view these rough nights as investments in his future growth.

He will be better, onto the Grizzlies.

Would have really liked to see Goga out there against Zubac.  Wendell has a hard time defending other Centers with height and size over him.

I’m a banchero believer but these games since the all star break have been draining. You can tell he is feeling the pressure of the playoffs being so close with these low percentage shots and turnovers. Jamal with the absolute worst play call trying to get Franz open when he had been shooting horrible he should have had nothing but our best shooters out there with paolo being a distraction. Great defensive effort tonight but they got dudes who been there and done that. Hopefully we can regain some confidence these next two games and go into New Orleans and win.

Let’s just stay at the 5-6 seed as healthy as possible

Oof the repercussions of this loss could get really bad. Every ensuing game against a sub .500 team is must win at this point, otherwise the team could fall to the play-in. The Magic cannot lose the last two games of this home stand. Damn.

  13. Ellimistopher

Just to be clear, this was on the assistant coaches for losing that game, by not telling Mosely to challenge the Out of Bounds on Kawhi at the end. That would have been Magic ball.

2nd on Paolo for getting stripped from behind over and over and over again. He is terrible at dealing with help defense from elite defenders. Also, I am completely over his pullup threes when he gets a center switched onto him. Take him off the dribble, his shot isn’t good enough to rely on. Also the pullup threes down 2 trying to take the lead are tiring, unless you start shooting close to 40% those are bad shots.

3rd on Franz for not being able to shoot threes, this is absurd, and a huge blackmark on his game. He needs to fix this, or the Magic are screwed going forward.

As poorly as Franz and Banchero have been playing lately, Wendell Carter has been playing horribly throughout this season. The center position performed better with Goga or Moe on the court.

Paolo has to figure it out with these turnovers, too many 5, 6 & 7 turnovers games from him this season. This offseason he needs to work on his ball security because that is the main thing holding him back.

  16. MagicDruid

I didn’t actually hate it, the defense was really good for most of the 4th they just hit some difficult ones.

Yeah the offense isn’t polished but it was clear from the start they wanted to work on defense as the first building block over the off-season.

Realistically this loss probably doesn’t change much for us provided we can get another 5 wins before the end of the season.

  17. SpideyUdaman

Sad last 2 games that could have been ours, but literally looked like chasing after the wind. Need a turnaround. Though we still can’t expect way too much . Our boys are great, but we can’t expect them to just be like this unstoppable team within a couple years. Nonetheless, it’s not impossible for them to still go deep in playoffs.

  18. 36Vigilantes

Listen everyone has got to relax, these losses hurt, but we are learning in real time. We will be ok and avoid having to go to the Play-in.

Just breathe. We have 2.5 game cushion and some very winnable games coming up.

Today was a perfect example of why we will lose a playoff series. Poor rebounding, losing 50/50 balls, poor shooting. Learn and move on.

    FINISH STRONG!!!

  19. UnhousedFeline

Two turnovers in a row from paolo, and two missed challenges by the coaching staff in the final stretch. I don’t understand the rationale behind these missed challenges. Its the end of the fucking game, you have a challenge to use. What are you holding on to it for???

  20. bonafide89

Why was the last play drawn up for a 28% 3point shooter?

  21. 5 of our last 9 against teams above .500. 5 of our last 9 on the road. We are going to be limping into the post season.

  22. Programmer-Gullible

I don’t care how good you are from 3, that last “possession” was complete shit and you can’t seriously hope for a bucket in that situation unless you’re Curry.

  24. MeetCritical82

This team gets blown out by 25 last season. Temper your expectations and be glad we have meaningful basketball this time of year.

  25. treadwater23

I don’t know why people are harping on the final possession so much. The game was lost on the possessions before that. Those are crapshoots which is why coaches like to have 1 or 2 timeouts in those scenarios to get your first option the best look.

There’s a reason why 70% of those plays end in timeouts, we just had to get the ball in and hope Franz could make a prayer. They denied most everything else.

  26. Heat play Washington next, but then NY, Philly, Hou, and Indy. That’ll be our last real chance to separate ourselves from the play-in.

  27. carendt242

I complained about it in the game thread: we were up 5 and Clippers call TO. You know they’re capable of a run. Put Isaac out there & CLAMP down -wtf. If we aren’t going to use him in tight games against good teams, what is the point? Are we not using him in the playoffs either? It’s beyond frustrating.

  28. radardog2

Moe saved this from being a blowout in the 4th
