They need him for the playoffs. He’s not an offensive oriented player and, as such, may not need as long a runway to get back into game flow as most players.
I don’t think we see OG until the final few days of the regular season. Need him when the games really count.

he’s gonna come back – feel some inconvenience/pain and miss another 3 weeks. he’s just straight up not a brunson/randle type that’ll play through nagging pain
KuntaWuKnicks
Yeah don’t risk him, we be aight
Don’t worry

Honestly I’m going the rest of the season and playoffs assuming we don’t have he or Randle

It’s over 🤦🏽♂️😭

Jalen Brunson will carry this team as far as it can go, despite who is or is not on the court.

Where’s that dude that spams “it’s just inflammation, chill out” on every OG thread?

i’m still trying to wrap my head around this re-injury. He had surgery for a bone spur, it was removed. Took some time to heal, makes sense. I’m trying to figure out if he has a new injury now or has “inflammation” like they’re saying. It was a bone spur so it can’t really just suddenly grow back
chowbox617
Rest him for next season. Randle too. Neither guy is gonna be themselves in the playoffs anyway.
spaceninj
What is this injury? Were they lying from the start?
Knicka_Pleas
Rather have OG back than Randle at this point if we had to choose one or the other and consider injuries. We can still go really deep into the playoffs with a less than 100% OG
redguyinfinite
The only thing that is keeping me positive is that Mitch played with nearly no specific detail on which game he would return until like the day of. However this news of them not practicing w contact yet is incredibly disconcerting. I’ve been positive since that fucking Miami game but it’ll be April 1st in 10 minutes.
High_Ground_Sand
If he needs surgery again, I think he should just get it and hope to come back strong next season, same with Randle. If they’re not 100% it’s not worth risking the future of the team for one season where we’re not even favored to win the East when healthy.
