[Buha] LeBron James on how long he expects to continue playing in the NBA: “Not very long. … I’m not gonna play another 21 years, that’s for damn sure. But not very long. I don’t know when that door will close as far as when I’ll retire. But I don’t have much time left.”

Oh god, he’s not going away anytime soon, huh?

  2. recollectionsmayvary

Lmao I’m dead that he had to really put to bed that he won’t do it *another* 21 years lol the seriousness and matter of fact way in which he says it is hilarious lol

  3. EarthWarping

When Vegas gets the expansion team he’ll retire.

God damn, I don’t want to think about the league without Bron Bron

  5. WhatTheRickIsDoin

This fuckery won’t go on for much longer (Taylor’s Version)

  6. LeBron can’t retire yet until he has to play until Curry KD Kawhi PG Russ Harden and them retire it’s only right 💯

  7. duckmadfish

Lebron playing for another 20 years confirmed

it’s probably crazy the amount of time he spends warming up and recovering on each game day at this point

  9. orhantemerrut

Man this hits really hard. He’s never spoken this explicitly.

We will def miss him when that time comes. I can’t even imagine the league without LBJ tbh

Imo, he’ll play for at least two more seasons.

Adam Silver said they won’t start working on the NBA expansion until the new TV deal is finalized (after next season), and it’s an open secret that LeBron is getting a team.

It’ll also give him a chance to play with Bronny and potentially Bryce as well.

  12. He’ll only retire after he comes to New Orleans and wins us our first chip

Gonna be interesting to see what the people who have made their entire personalities based around hating him do when he hangs it up. Obviously they’ll instantly flip to hating the next big thing, but will it be Luka, Wemby? Some new kid who isn’t playing yet?

At least average less then 20 points for 1 season before giving it up

His drive was to play with his son. I think he’s realizing that his son needs more time to develop in college than to try to get drafted just because of who his dad is. That’s making him lose the desire to keep playing. I can see him playing 23 seasons.

Mike Malone is fuming right now. LeBron is really tryna make it all about himself after Denvers victory tonight 😡

LeBron brings a weird comfort to fans. They hate him, they love him but they want him there.

  18. Fickle_Charity_1341

Damn. We have so many great players in the league with this new generation, but I still can’t see any of them getting close to having as big of an impact as Lebron but it will be fun to see when that player does step forward.

Lebron James going to be one of those rare pro players like Brady who walks away from the game rather than the game walk away from him.

You know how Wilt had this quote – he was asked how many points he’d average in the modern NBA and he said, Oh like 15. The interviewer asks why and he says well I’m 60

Bron is probably the only other player who can make a similar claim and you wouldn’t dismiss it immediately
