I on the injury front is everybody anybody out is everybody everybody’s available yes um curious when this when you went back you said defensively what you going to go over to what were things went over defensively today transition containment sorry for the horn transition containment um being in our
Gaps which is a one one Mana away um giving help low man uh red exchanges uh two man coverages in in pick a roll um anything else you mentioned how the tight shell that that was one of the things early in the early in the season
Half yeah we didn’t have that in OKC it wasn’t there that’s why match it wasn’t there very disappointing was the biggest area I me we didn’t guard the ball well enough but you know if there’s a tight shell the guy with the basketball is not
Not going to believe he has a chance to get to the paint but when he sees an ocean of space to attack then you know then they wind him up and uh it makes it really hard for the guy on the ball so um disappointing uh performance on both
Fronts looking at Deon I know that you know the he said he said his ankle’s fine he said not but he hasn’t shot at well for three in the last 10 games what do you sense of that spacing isn’t there for just just a rare stretch I’m not
Worried about it okay and then just the last couple G how do you get him going I guess is what I’m getting more at the last couple games he scored like yeah I mean he just got to stay aggressive we got to screen for him and you you know
Make sure that we’re we’re moving the basketball I mean that’s that’s the biggest thing is when you move the basketball sometimes your your overall team has more balance you know what I mean and it’s not just one guy going for 50 like you did against these guys last
Time we played played the Pelicans um you know so balance is okay we want to be a team first team where you know we’re getting a good shot on goal every time was saying since that open SE game the last few days Andre been picking up have you noticed the same thing and
There notice this uh yeah high sense of urgency was the first time all year where we’ve we’ve had two days between game we practiced both days um you know just to demonstrate that the urgency that we we have as a group uh our guys have been super locked in with positive
Energy uh you know knowing that we didn’t play well enough against OKC but still have a strong belief in in what we’re playing for and what what uh what we can accomplish with this group so you know guys are really locked in I expect them to play a heck of a game tomorrow
Night sometimes the schedule is hard to get this practice how important get Focus every time you can every time you can Blow the Whistle Stop teaching correct that helps your team every time you can do uh reps on how you’re playing against the next opponent live that
Helps your team you know so extra shots just benefits in all ways what makes dangerous they they got shooting and they got an elite rim protector or Rim attacker I’m sorry in in Zion obviously they’re missing bi uh but what CJ’s doing from the three-point line what Trey’s doing from the three-point line
The way Herb’s shooting it this year has been very impressive the rebounding of of Allen chunis creates matchups problems uh in terms of keeping them off of the boards and they they defend their their ass off they really compete Willie Willie does a great job with their
Defensive scheme so they’re a heck of a two-way team they’re they’re winning at a really high clip right now I think nine out their last 13 or so even with bi out uh they’ve been winning some big games and we’re going to have to play well to beat him mention Michelle got Z
He doesn’t need to see much anyway he’s going everybody on our OKC film driving to in front of our rim with Zion okay this is Zion tomorrow night is this what we’re going to look like okay if if we are going to look like that it’s going
To be a l night for us people can say like the schedule is going to be really tough which it is but at the same time you guys look at his opportunity against teams that are above you to you know climb up yeah there’s some head to heads
That have you know a little more value like this one um you know but I mean we need to win every game you know what I mean it’s not just about the head to heads we need to win every game and um you know we we we have a group that um
Doesn’t ever feel like there’s an opponent that we can’t beat you know and we know we can beat the best and uh we have to play to that level thanks happy Easter sir same to you you have a good one so far uh so far so good
Think he’ll get better after this uh yeah I do I do I’m sure yeah what was the question now no it was um how’s the ankle felt since you came back oh the ankle feels fine yeah didn’t ask because at least the last couple games this shot
Hasn’t been the norm so I’m I’m not saying that’s because of the ankle but I’m trying to figure out what’s the reasoning for that you feel what last couple games last couple games shot the last the last you come back from the injury you shot 18 and
64 yeah just a bad shooting time I believe in him but do you so it’s not an ankle no so the offense the last couple games how have you likeed the look that you’ve gotten specifically considering that you know the numbers as a team overall have been down and you obious
Supply you out of points for thisam yeah la last game was a little tough uh I think a lot went wrong you know I always say our defense translates directly to our offense and when we’re able to get stops and you know play in transition
And play fast you know we’re at our best so um I think it’s mostly defensive we’re going to score enough points when you look at just you know have the big win against and then lose see that that up and down you told me seems like you’re trying to fix something every
Game how do you Squad right now when you have that kind of up and down situation I mean I think you have to learn in wins and losses um and we still you know had things to clean up after Denver games and you know it’s better for all these
Things to come to light now than you know later later down the line so um we know it’s getting close we know it’s getting that time and we have some things to work on but you know there’s still a lot of Hope for this team what’s like practice kind back fin uh
Everything’s pic picked up I think it’s that time of year where you know the the film sessions are more detail oriented the the scouts are more detail oriented so you know it’s it’s a fun time of year a lot of people your schule it’s tough it is tough but um
Also at the same time because of playing team so can you look at it as opportunity or how do you 100% opportunity and you know just gearing up you know for that play I think everybody that we we’re going to play is in the playoffs are close to uh securing a spot
So um we can already find to our engines and get it going is there any and any I mean yeah I mean it’s a possibility um and it’s realistic but like I said we we need to clean some things up and understand that if we don’t clean those things up we won’t be
Able to win it anyways and that’s the ultimate goal so um what whatever that path may be you know I think we’ll be ready for it what are a couple more pressing things to uh I just say communication defensively um I mean OKC was a bad example they hit
A ton of shots also I mean we could have made it harder on them but you know there is nights like that sometimes in the first 10 games where a team can’t miss it’s just Amplified right now and um that’s just the case
