    Knicks had been playing extremely well coming into this game with blowouts over Pistons and Raptors and wins at Sacramento and Golden State. They were overconfident and did not match the effort the Spurs gave and quickly fell behind by 20.

    Gauging from Twitter, the arrogant and obnoxious Knick announcers and fans were in disbelief. How could the worst team in the West compete against the "great" Knicks team? They must have forgotten that the Spurs have Wemby.

    Wemby and Spurs struggled against the Knicks in their only trip to New York and the fans booed and jeered Wemby mercilessly. Chanting overrated. This was a revenge game for Wemby. No doubt, he had this game circled in his calendar and wanting another shot to get even with these Knicks.

    Wemby played great. More than the stats, he was able to raise the level of this Spurs team where they could compete against a good Knicks team. When the Knicks finally woke up, the game because a high energy, high intensity game that the Spurs had no business being in. Wemby impressed the most in the clutch. He wanted the ball, was aggressive, and was strong under pressure. Truly special.
