Brunson Snubbed for Eastern Conference Player of the Week

[via Tommy Beer](https://twitter.com/TommyBeer/status/1774898831219376241)

Bruson led the NBA in scoring last week.
He scored:
32 more points than Dejounte Murray
45 more points than Giannis
90 more points than Haliburton

Brunson slashed 51/38/81. He shot a higher percentage from the floor and a higher percentage from downtown and a higher percentage from downtown than Murray.

Brunson had a higher Assist-to-Turnover ratio than Murray and Haliburton.

AST-to-TO ratio:
Brunson: 6.5
Murray: 4.1
Haliburton: 3.1

Oh and Brunson led the NBA in +/- (by a ton)

Plus/Minus totals:
Brunson: +101
Murray: +12
Haliburton: +23
Siakam: +38
Giannis: -7

Brunson’s team won more games than Giannis’ (Bucks were 1-2), and Brunson’s +/- was 108 points higher than Giannis lol

hey, if the NBA wanted to give Murray the meaningless Player of the Week award b/c he hit a brilliant buzzer-beater and ATL had two nice wins over Boston… that’s cool.

But not including Brunson as one of the “other nominees” after one of the most incredible weeks in NY franchise history is laughable.

I honestly think it’s fair. The hawks beat the Celtics fucking twice, that’s like winning the Super Bowl for them. Let dejounte have it, he deserves jt. If you asked JB, he’d probably say something like “we didn’t win the games tho did we?”

  2. Did Murray lose any games last week?

Because record is almost always the first and most important consideration for these things.

By the way, I remember when Brunson got one of these and people on r/nba were doing this same shit so we responded by telling them it had to do with record. Same with Jules if I remember correctly but that was longer ago.
