How in TF does Sean Marks still in charge of the Nets?! This is unconstitutional cruel and unusual treatment.

He’s doing what ownership wants. Tsai is the villain here

Marks has shown he has serious flaws in roster building and should’ve been fired a while back but the bigger problem is tsai. I’m actually convinced tsai was sent here after 2019 to purposely destroy the good path we were on

Marks speciality is drafting, not trades nor team composition. I’m just worried Marks didn’t go full rebuild last trade deadline because it was either Tsais orders or his own selfish reason to get a quick fire false contendor to save his job

He took one of the worst rosters and lack of draft picks in NBA history and in five years built a contender that was only stopped by injuries to two stars. Sure that fell apart, but Nets could easily have won a championship. He has regularly picked well in the NBA draft. He has also had some pretty good rotation level free agent signings for cheap contracts.

Holy shit, can you guys just stop whining about Marks? All you do is yell “fire Marks” and offer absolutely nothing constructive to the debate.

If you fire Marks, then what’s the plan? Who takes his spot? What moves do they make? I mean ffs, we’re in a hole right now (some of it is Marks’ fault, but mostly it’s on Kyrie and KD and unlucky injuries), and contrary to the “blow it all up” people, Marks at least has a plan to dig us out of that hole that doesn’t assume 5-10 years of tanking and rebuilding.

Did some of you really think that we can be forced to trade away 3 superstars in one year and then immediately turn around and be contenders again? Do you even know how the luxury tax and the tax aprons work? We didn’t get anywhere this season, but that wasn’t a realistic goal – even assuming Ben had been healthy and productive. Have some patience – this is what rebuilding a team looks like.

Cam is developing into a lethal scorer, Clax looks like an All-NBA defender, Bridges is slumping, but despite that he’s still one of the better plug and play players in the league. We’ve got some solid young guns in Sharpe, Wilson and Clowney (jury’s still out on Whitehead and his health). We have draft assets, we have Ben’s expiring contract next year. Let the guy who got us out of one shitty situation and then built a realistic contender (untimely injuries not withstanding) cook.

Save your pitchforks for 2025/26 if we don’t get any big names to sign with us, no new coach, and this whole thing goes to shit.

  6. Before I go on the answer is: Kyrie ruined everything here and KD wasn’t much better. Everyone with a brain sympathizes with Marks but IQ is lacking amongst the keyboard warriors.

Why do you guys have the same stupid talking points every day? You hate marks. You want tsai to sell the team. You miss kyrie. You think cam thomas is Kobe. You want the Nets to move to jersey or Seattle or San Diego or maybe the moon.

Does anyone have anything to add about the current actual things we have to debate? Which star are we targeting? How much are we paying Clax? Which coach is gonna bring us coaching respectability? How many years before we contend again? What do we do if Ben Simmons is healthy and productive? Could we steal him for like the MLE with a ton of incentives? Does the nba even allow that kind of contract? How awesome is it gonna be to watch the Pacers run the Knicks right outta the first round? How are some of you gonna function with the season ending and no picks in the world’s worst draft? What will you complain about till July 1st?

  7. Everyone with the “he can’t construct a roster”. Look at the big 3 error rosters and the current Phoenix roster and you tell me who was really roster constructing the last 3 years. Use some common sense.
