In other news Sensabaugh is the rookie that has impressed me the most. His offensive bag is legit.
Im lower on Keyonte than most.

I can’t believe we drafted a 20+ ppg scorer at 28. I love watching the rookies shine, even though the losses are tough

Ice Brice, Keyonte, and Taylor at points this season have played like vets, and they’re rookies. They will be impactful players when we start contending in 2 years

Who are the only ones competing anymore? Dunn? Sexton? Is that’s it?

GAME NOTES:

Sorry for the lack of notes the last few games, I was on vacation and didn’t watch any basketball. It was nice haha.

A very, very short handed Jazz lose as expected tonight. We had 10 eligible players, and with Walker Kessler breaking his nose in the second quarter, our rotations were rough.

Our best player tonight was Sensabaugh. He’s breaking out of his terribly cold shooting, and he’s starting to be a walking bucket. 8-14 shooting, 6-9 from 3, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 22 points tonight. [The confidence to pull up and hit this move,](https://x.com/JazzLead/status/1775333574360862759?s=20) and he came out firing in the third, hitting back-to-back 3’s to start the second half. His offensive upside is there, and he’s shown he can be a secondary playmaker, hopefully his defense develops so he can be a genuine rotation piece for us in the future.

Collin Sexton didn’t have a bad game either. 19 points on 6-14 shooting, 2-5 from 3, 5-6 from the line, 3 rebounds, a team high 7 assists, but unfortunately a game high 7 turnovers. Nothing really stood out tonight in regards to his individual performance. We were putting together a run in the third, where we shot 50% from the field and 53.8% from 3 for the quarter, but 5 total turnovers (2 by sexton) kinda hindered the effort. We also had 5 turnovers as a team in the second quarter… His streak of 20+ points ends tonight unfortunately.

Taylor Hendricks also had back-to-back 3’s in the third quarter, he finished with 18 points on 7-13 shooting, 4-6 from 3, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals tonight. [Here are both of those 3’s he had in that third quarter.](https://x.com/JazzLead/status/1775350335764406385?s=20) I really want to highlight that beautiful pass by Keyonte on that first one, what a beaut. He was getting aggressive towards the end of the game, I want to see more of that as we finish the season out. I wish he was more aggressive on the boards, and I wish he was able to make more of an impact defensively tonight. He was very quiet on both of those, getting eaten by Allen and Mobley.

Keyonte struggled tonight, 9 points, 2-11 shooting, 1-5 from 3, 4-4 from the line, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 turnovers. I linked his great pass above, but disappointing night for Keyonte. Teams are starting to scout him more, and it is coinciding with him missing more shots. He definitely plays better when Markkanen, Clarkson, and Sexton are all active, as it takes the offensive load off of his shoulders. I think he’s exhausted, he’s played the most of all the rookies, and has shouldered a heavy offensive load the last two months. He isn’t taking ill-advised shots, they just aren’t falling right now. I would like to see more playmaking come out.

Kessler exited the game with a broken nose in the second quarter, and despite getting 2 easy looks to start the game, didn’t do anything else. 6 points, 3-3 shooting, 1 assist, 1 block. He’s probably going to be out for the rest of the season, unless he feels like he can realistically play in a mask.

THT looked good tonight. I know! Shocker! 12 points, 12 minutes, 5-7 shooting, 2-3 from 3, 1 rebound, 1 steal. He really limited his crazy drives where he throws up a prayer, and he took care of the ball. I was surprised. Good stuff tonight by him.

Luka Samanic was our best bench player, pouring in 12 points on 3-6 shooting, 1-4 from 3, 5-7 from the line, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 turnover. The best thing about his performance was him getting to the line. Team high 7 free throw attempts.

Omer Yurtseven also made an impact tonight, 11 points, 5-10 shooting, 0-1 from 3, 1-1 from the line, 6 rebounds (3 offensive), 2 assists, 1 block, 3 turnovers. He stepped in when Kessler went down, and was doing a good job in that third quarter. He may be getting extended minutes the rest of the season, barring what happens to Kessler.

Dunn had just 2 points, but he had 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Most importantly, no turnovers. I wonder what his market will look like this offseason, and if he will find his way back to us.

Disappointing night on multiple accounts. Kessler getting injured, us getting absolutely killed by Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley, us not taking care of the ball, us getting killed on the glass, and us having committed 8 more fouls than Cleveland.

Our losing streak continues. Haven’t won since March 15. At least our rooks are getting good playing time together.

29-47.

Loss = win for a while. Gotta have faith in the front office that the draft + development thing is worth it.

I just want this season to be over.
I’m starting to think we will never win again.

It’s sucks to suck.
