Paolo Banchero mentioned “the last couple games I haven’t had that [attack] mindset. I let my foot off the gas”. Banchero added that he told one of the coaches prior to the game “It’s time for me to get back in that mode

I appreciate how honest and self aware he is. Doesn’t make excuses.

I’m glad he’s aware. I know he’s been trying to be more of a playmaker and he’s not gonna figure it out unless he tries during real games. I can see the effort in trying to improve every aspect of his game. My boy is gonna become an even bigger monster really soon

As critical as I am sometimes of him*, he’s figuring it out year by year and game by game. Dude is still a baby in NBA years.

I’m only critical because I know he can be great. Cut down on the silly turnovers and going to the rim with bad intentions and finishing plays will make him 10x scarier. He has it in him to be a top 10 player easily.

He had his sight set on ROY – he got it

He had his sight set on all star – he got it

He had his sight set on the playoffs – he got it

It’s time to get hungry again. We’re ahead of schedule. Let’s get home court advantage and make some noise.

We have a 21 year old super star, thank god!

At the same time, we have a 21 year old super star, we need patience.
