Other than playing the Kings in the playin, can’t get much worse. Completely across the board from our best matchups (Wolves and Clips) and we get Denver first round.
Pelicans teetering on the edge of a very dangerous cliff right now. 6 games left to correct course.
That being said, it’s fairly pointless to look at the seeding and matchups this early. Anything from the 4 seed to the 9 seed is in the cards and it all depends on dozens of other games beside our own.

I’m not going to doom and gloom, but there is a harsh reality we’re on the brink of facing.
Good news is we should be favored in 4/6 remaining games and the other 2 are still VERY winnable. Other good news is the Suns happen to have the toughest schedule I could ever even think of creating.
Bad news is the pelicans are getting cold and injury plagued at the worst time and our schedule is no sunshine and rainbows.
These next couple weeks can and will determine the next few years of this franchise.
Good news is we still can control our own destiny since we still have games left against Phoenix, Sacramento, Golden State, and Los Angeles.
The bad news is 3 out of the 4 games will be on the road and those games will be incredibly tough to win knowing all of those teams have their stake in the seedings.
This team is now up against the wall, and we’re about to find out if they have an extra gear to fend off these teams from a top 6 seed.
It’s funny how we get a little worried about chances of things happening like falling to the play-ins or a huge losing streak and this team never fails to disappoint us. Should’ve at least went 2-3 in that stretch, should’ve beat at least one of Phoenix or Orlando at your freaking home for God sake. 21-17 at home and 24-14 at away, it’s crazy that it’s not even that close. I don’t understand how they’re that bad at home. Now I wouldn’t be surprised if they lose to the Spurs. Wemby’s been playing like a bonified superstar and they’ve been playing well against good teams like Warriors, Knicks, Nuggets. It’s gonna be a though last week of the season except the Blazers game. All close to us in the standings. Someone need to show the importance of these games to the players ‘cuz they don’t look like they take it serious enough.
At this point i have zero faith we make it through the play ins even if we’re the 7/8 seed lol especially cuz if we lose the first one we play Lebron and AD in a single elimination game
Losing to Kings (is that even possible?) and then winning vs Lakers/Warriors would mean Pels playing Wolves 😉
What makes me sad is that if BI didn’t get injured we would be 4/5/6 with no problems
