not really sure what KOC is on because the spurs are currently 4th worst and are projected on [his latest big board](https://nbadraft.theringer.com/mock-draft?_ga=2.89894491.1527187711.1712298991-1497661737.1667531560) with the 6th pick (and worse, has the jazz jumping all the way to the 2nd pick)
that said, his review of donovan clingan is pretty interesting, but i still don’t like the idea of adding a traditional 5 with wemby. I’d rather a stretch 4 who can play inverted roles with wemby, grabbing rebounds when wemby is pulling up from 3, running to the corner for a catch and shoot 3 if wemby wants space to drive.
the alien and the klingon would be great as a pairing nickname though…

1. they’re tied for the third and if they both lose out I think it will be decided by a coin flip.
2. the third spot moved up more often than not and the fourth spot is actually about 50/50 iand has moved up just as much as it has moved down.
3, third spot has never finished worse than five and the fourth spot has never finished worse than 6.
4. This years draft with no tier one or tier two prospects every body board is going to be different. So who the fuck knows. No one is really a lock. So it wouldn’t be the end of the world shoud the worse case scenrio happen and they end up 6th. That may very well be the best player in the draft,
5. Clingan like Sarr doesn’t really do much for the spurs. It would be more of aluxury than a needle mover. I like Clingan and if the spurs end up with two picks I wouldn’t be mad at them taking him with their second pick. I think he’s good but also solves zero of the spurs issues other than help take some pressure off of Wemby. But you can do that in a number of ways and I don’t feel great about using a lottery pick just for that reason.
6. But I can see clingan going very high. But I don’t think it will be the spurs making that pick.
7. These mock drafts are mostly about about people’s boards than team fit And what they would actually do.
He just used a lottery sim but idk why bc it’s more of a big board than a mock draft. Decent amount of the picks don’t make much sense from a fit perspective.
Good player but provides nothing that goes well with Vic and spurs probably aren’t using their only pick on a backup. Maybe if Toronto pick ends up with spurs, they take him at 7 or 8 to hold down the non wemby minutes. I don’t completely hate it but it would be about the lowest upside move possible. Wemby and Clingan aren’t complimentary at all.

he just used a lottery sim. the spurs are tied for 3rd worst right now which means they could fall as low as 7 or 8 (depending on whether they finish 3rd or 4th worst) so 6 is certainly possible
