Jalen Brunson on the loss of Julius Randle and Josh Hart talks 31-point performance vs Kings | SNY

See that little little bit of both, um, depending on whether this is that is the 1 line. There’s a half quart. It’s a half quart you get with it early. The people might I can still kind of survey but um just read the game. It’s obviously kind of a downward start today.

Obviously. What was it like you guys coming in tonight? And um sort of I mean, like maybe you were aware that this was going this way, but for the fan base and everyone else was a bit of a surprise and you know, just how you feel. The mentality was

Tonight all the way around the building. Um, I mean, uh for us as the team we started very slow and eventually got picked up and um, definitely the morale low or what your guys goes down and it’s fighting to come back and

Just just unable to be where he wants to be. So, um, it’s definitely sad but uh, I mean, these are brother and so what it is at this point. So, um, we want him to be healthy just first and foremost. That’s the most important thing so,

Unfortunately, we talked with that 3.0 and put you guys down 21 was their kind of something that for the fire you guys at that point cuz you guys are just they kind of turn things around right after that point.

Um, I mean, I don’t know if it was it was that the corner he probably had like 5 in the first half but uh, he just knew that we need to figure out and turn it in. So, um, we’ll just be picking up away and

I found another 1 to call this place home and defeat off their energy. this special so especially in the second half I went out of order but um It’s it’s really fun to feel up there. Hey Josh, you guys are

Down 21. What was the key based on what you saw to come back in the game? Um first get stops. I think that was in 70, um, you deep into the second quarter. I think it happened between like 65% So we got to get started and then just you know play our game,

Um, legitimately kind of dictate the offense and then um, we play to our strengths. You just side screw it I’m going to the rim every time. Okay. Well, I yeah right now I just uh, I got this attacked the rim, um, you know, um

Swing the ball. I can’t I can’t really get the ball to the basket from 3. So, um, I got it this attack and um take with defense gives me that was uh, those pick and rolls are running on Jaylen Jaylen gets blessed you’re finding space or

They double off you your final space that I’m sure is something that has happened in j’s got a trap you’ve been on the floor for a little long time. Yeah, how how how would you say Jaylen has has rested in terms of being a pastor in those days. Um, yeah,

I think I think the biggest thing about him. Is he he trusts me, um in that position and for me, um, you know something that he likes and and whether it’s that or um inverting it and it had me handle and you know, either get

Downhill or um, um, you know messing up and I, you know, throw it back to him. So, um, That’s something that he’s comfortable with. I’m comfortable with tips tips like so that’s something that you know, we’re going to try to go to you’re that limited where

You you have to you you saw how in Miami I I couldn’t I just couldn’t get it. So, um, hopefully, you know, just uh about 8 don’t get much break. We got a game tomorrow. So, uh, you know, hopefully, you know that that soreness goes down a little bit but till

Then we just got to continue to try playing my game get easy shots at The Rim Good Guys involved and um, This is Gabriel. How are you? Um, it’s all it’s sore, uh, you know a little bit but you know, it is what it is how much that

3 and kind of gesture to the bench a little bit that kind of fire you guys up with you guys when that run right after that. Um, no, um You know, I I don’t even know know he did it. So, um

You know what fire this up with being down 20. Oh, so and this was a must-win for us. So, um, you know, we we had a we had to go out there and just play our game and

After the Knicks snapped their three-game losing streak with a win over Sacramento at The Garden, Jalen Brunson reacted to the news Julius Randle will be sidelined for the rest of the season. Brunson: “It’s definitely sad but,, I mean, he’s our brother and it’s just, that’s what it is at this point…. so we move forward, but I mean, we want him to be healthy first and foremost, that’s the most important thing.” Hart had a monster offensive game in the win, dropping 31 points without shooting a single three-pointer. “I can’t really get the ball to the basket from three… yeah, right now I just gotta attack the rim.”
