Im most sad about he defensive part. Our bigs are actually both scoring rather efficiently lately, and that used to be enough to let us grind out some wins when the defense was top 5. Not much time to get it together. This weekend is gonna be rough.

Look at the teams close to the Cavs. Its a fucking joke, Nets, Hornets, Wizards and so on. Changes are coming in the offseason.

We all know they suck right now. If this level of play continues it’ll be a first round exit, new head coach, and probably some roster shuffles. At this point I’m shifting attention to the Guardians to avoid thinking about the disappointing Cavs situation.

It’s pretty simple at this point. Fire JB (also shoutout to every bball genius in here that said he was a good coach all season, the people that would pop into game threads after any win to say “JB haters in shambles”, etc. hopefully this is a lesson in being objective instead of a homer). Trade Mitchell since he’s not going to re-sign and aim for a true SF with length and shooting (Brandon Ingram type) and move Strus to SG. And probably trade Allen too since Mobley is the better skinny big and there’s zero reason to have two nearly identical players. If we do this there’s a chance this team can still have an upward trajectory and not completely fall out of the picture. If we don’t there’s probably a few losing seasons and a complete rebuild in the future. Which is fuckin depressing to think about considering the brightness of the team’s future just a couple seasons ago before we went all in on Mitchell and stuck it out with JB after the team outgrew his “rah rah play hard” coaching. All the pressure is on Altman now, let’s hope he’s sober for it.

is what it is. nothing that can happen in the next few weeks changes that. without DM playing back to backs doubt we get better than 3-2 going into the playoffs.
