Donovan Mitchell leaving the Cavs this offseason is a huge storyline, and it doesn’t look good for the Cavs right now.

  1. When the Cavs traded for Donovan, they were gambling on their lottery pick (Mobley) making a leap and honoring the KG comparisons. He didn’t take that step. Very similar to how the Twolves gambled on Ant with the Rudy trade, except they won.

  4. Man, just trade him to OKC. Should happen imo. Who's gonna give up more picks? Joking, but fr tho lol

  5. It seems like he wanted to go to the Knicks in the first place so maybe they can at least get some assets back in a trade.

  6. I genuinely think Donovan Mitchell is completely set on not returning to Cleveland no matter what. Even if they make the finals or a miracle happens and they win it all. Think about it, he's been in Utah before and now Cleveland, both undesirable cities to be in for a star athlete/celebrity. He was an old rookie, so he'll already be almost 29 by the time he is a free agent. I think he is absolutely set on going to a big market team and a fun city where he can live it up. He just can't say it publicly. And I am saying this as a fan of a small market team that no free agents want to come to (New Orleans)

  7. It is entirely dependent on the playoffs really. The most worrying part is that they definitely won’t get what they gave up for him, and may get their price cut down because he’s on an expiring contract, and then may get it cut down even more because he requests to go to a specific team. If all that goes wrong then they may have to accept an offer for like role players + 2 firsts which is a huge disappointment

  8. please try to focus on the game-based storylines as trade deadline and offseason scenarios are distant hypotheticals, neither current nor relevant

  9. The best thing the cavs could do is to try and trade garland for a point guard that would compliment donovan’s game.

  10. I mean to be honest you don't really want Donovan Mitchell as your best player anyway. It's kind of like having Kirk Cousins as your QB, you're gonna reliably be good but there's a very very small chance you'll be great. That nothing against him, that's just who he is. He's a high end #2, low end #1.

  11. The Cavs need Mitchell to play better in the postseason. Two consecutive postseasons Mitchell has played bad and arguably has been the biggest reason Utah and Cleveland lost in the playoffs the last two seasons

  12. Any time any YouTuber finally gives my Cavs some attention it's always, and only, "Donovan getting traded" "Spyda is gone"……ugh

  13. Is it just me or does SL post this topic every other week? 😂 if me saying every other week is generous..

  14. This guy either has a hard on for Spida or a vendetta against the Cavs. Nobody is talking about this nearly as much as this guy and everything we have heard from the owner, teammates, and Don himself should only fortify the belief that he will stay. Cavs has a couple BAD games but they will figure it out. Remember that many key players are either out, or have just returned from injury.

  15. All the news out of Cleveland is that the team intends on doing “whatever it takes” to build around Mitchell. Do some research before making a stupid video. This is just lazy at this point. You know it’s bad when it’s more than just Cavs fans in these comments bitching at you.

If you want to talk Cleveland, talk about some DG trades that can happen this offseason (the conversation that’s actually happening around the team).

  16. I understand why the marquee names garner interest.

However, Championships are won in the margins. How good are the 2nd and 3rd options? Who are the role players? Who is just okay? Who is a negative to the team?

It would be nice to actually hear about some of these players as well and how they can impact a team and the success or failure of a team.

Guys like Malik Monk who is a free agent. He could be the difference maker for a team just because it extends the bench or gives them a 4th or 5th option on offense. Maybe even a third option in the right system.

That is a big deal and could be a difference between just a good team vs a potentially great team.

But all it seems like we ever hear about is the guys in the top 35-40 in the league. Players 41-120 would be nice to hear about as well now and then because of their impact on a team's success.

  17. donavan mitchell coming to save the brooklyn nets and get his get back against jalen brunson🙏
