Now I really want to play Denver in the 1st round…..we can put Gabe on Murray at the end of games when he normally torches us.
I wouldnt be surprised if he ends up in the starting line up by the 2nd round of the playoffs (if we make it ofc)
I remember watching this play and thinking FINALLY! Someone who doesn’t get stuck on screens or tries to flop to get a foul on the screen 🙏
I know people here adore Dlo and he’s been shooting amazingly. But this is the reason he won’t cut it in the playoffs. He’s literally food for the opposing teams. Doesn’t contest or chase AT ALL, and falls asleep constantly. Even with his lesser physical ability, he doesn’t give effort like AR does.
Gabe and Spencer will be huge probably eat into his mins (if the offense can stay afloat with dlo out)
Gave Vincent and Spencer give us something we have not had since Alex Caruso walked out 3 years ago. With their ability to navigate to screens especially gave. They have an ability genuinely just blow up actions. Like gabe nuked 5/6 sets the cavs ran last nights because he just appeared on the other side of the ball screen. Dennis and vando were good poa defenders and ok screen navigators. Gave is genuinely frighteningly good at blowing up ball screen. Ad and gabe/spencer gives us an actual shot against the jokic Murray pnr.
I’m gonna say it. AR should come off the bench in place of Gabe. It would improve our starting lineup defense and improve our bench offense.
Problem is he’s been an absolute non factor when he’s got the ball. He looks terrified to shoot n he shoots at times when he Shoukdvd passed even or he just passes when he has open corner threes . It’s very annoying he needs to hit some shots . Only saving Grace is teams do guard him unlike vsndo or Schroeder so that’s something. But I’m worried when they don’t

This was a very legal screen in nba terms and he still got beat. He’s just trying to dribble penetrate on AD which just doesn’t work.
Everytime a player does good coming off the bench, you will see a lot of ‘AR should come off the bench’ agenda in here. It’s getting old.
Why not just let the best players start. And whoever is you want to start over Reaves be the 6th man or 7th or 8th from the bench. Starters are getting subbed at th 6minute mark anyway, you can do your ‘Death lineup’ after the substitutions. Why always want AR to be replaced from the starting five?
I’m surprised no one is suggesting to start Prince over Reaves since Prince shot very well vs the Cavs.

I mean it can be winning hoops, but it really depends on how much you’re giving up, or contributing, on the other side. It can work as long as the offense works with the other 4 guys – and TP hitting that three is a good example. It will work as long as that happens. But as soon as the offense struggles, then Gabe Vincent’s screen navigation with zero points wouldn’t be winning hoops.
