  1. I hate Tim live and dies by the 3 he’s actually a solid mid shooter and underrated passer he can reb and can be better on defense when engaged I wish he’d play like a demar derozan style in San Antonio just becoming complete.

  2. We need to be happy about PJ and his defense. His 3pt shot has looked much better lately. We need to pump the breaks on the hype though. Let's curb our enthusiasm. His 3 has come through at the expense of his middy floater which has surprisingly been very short lately. His offense has improved over all and defense been consistent, but we should be modest with our hype and craze until we see some consistency in both ranges of his shot especially amidst playoff competition. Some very good flashes of development for the man and applause to Nico for picking him up. He definitely stepped up in Lukas absence 👏

  3. Pj. I owe u an apology. I was 1 of the those who was feeling like we basically traded 4 another Grant Williams after that poor shooting strech. But now hes turning the corner and im loving his game rn. Hope this sticks bcus we definitely need a 3rd option. 4 games like this when key players miss time and this was a huge step up 4 P Jail. 💪❤️👍

  4. Man, PJ balled out last night. My respect for him after that game has gone through the roof. I don't remember seeing anything like that since Jalen Brunson in the playoffs 2 years ago. If we can get that kind of production out of him consistently, watch out. I believe this team is special. I think they are capable of winning it all. Not sure they can make it happen this year. A lot of things have to go right, but I do believe they have what it takes. I don't remember seeing the Mavericks look this good since they won the title.

  5. 3Jail is turning out amazing. It’s kind of the opposite of the Grant Williams situation; with Grant, it showed how a decent player can react poorly to the wrong team fit. With PJ it shows how, when a player is truly happy, he really thrives and his play improves.

In fact, it’s interesting to see the difference between Grant coming from an ECF team to a squad in a less favourable position, compared to PJ who got a massive team upgrade from Charlotte.

  6. ….. i'm with you, Marcel…. when PJ first came here i pulled up all his highlights and thought, dammmmn! My first impression was that his defense was all we needed him for, but there is no stat for "defense"….. but i also saw a guy who could create his own shot! … and threes? Those are just icing on the cake for PJ! But i saw something last night i had not seen….. PJ stepping up and becoming a team leader on BOTH ends of the court and making a huge difference….. kudos to Kyrie as well for making sure PJ was part of the offense and also defended well!
Bottom Line: The Mavs beat a locked and loaded Warrior team while missing four of our nine starters!!!! … and they did it with individual and team defense from everyone we put on the court!

  7. is really pj really an upgrade to grant williams? take time to read, would love to have a conversation.

i would say yes, but at the same time no. we knew from the start what this team is lacking which is a 3 and D guy like finney. adding grant wasn't the one im really looking for but with his defense i knew his gon add value to the lineup. trading grant williams is losing 1 of our shooters and trading it for 3 and D guy. there's a stat that we've became worse at the 3point line and became better at scoring perimeter and inside the paint. it's really hard to tell if it is an upgrade because there's a big difference between the two on how they contributed for this team. grant is a better low post defender against big guys using his chest and an elite shooter when at his best than pj. while pj is a better perimeter and an on-ball defender against smaller guards with his long wingspan than grant. Grants has been putting up better numbers in the hornets coming off the bench while pj is the exact guy for this team. if only maxi could come back on his old form and replace grant's role using his shooting i wouldn't be mad at all for trading grant.

i just don't agree letting go of grant that fast. i don't like most of mavs fans turned their back on this guy and quickly forgot how much grant williams contributed on that winning streak we had early in the season which most people called this team as dark horse. with his elite shooting it started to build expectations to people's head which just led to their own disappointments. people expected him to perform the way he did when he's at his worst, coming back from an injury and by that time most of the mavs were out so his underperformance makes it quite obvious which is very stupid. the locker room issues he had sounds more like a luka's bad personality vs grants attitude or could be vice versa that did not align which i thought both of them would really click but performance wise grant did his job for this team. I'm just here to back him up just like how kidd backs up hardaway with his worse performance these past weeks.

this hype or glaze pj is having right now for 1 game won't age well. so funny how mavs fans gave the same hype on grant early in the season when he was shooting the lights out for us then all of a sudden everybody turns back on him. he will just have the same situation as what grant had. if he plays bad in the playoffs, people will just quickly forget how much pj help this team to get away from the play in spot.

  8. Never doubted PJ will be good for us but I never thought he would be more than just a slight upgrade over Grant Williams. For that I owe you an apology PJail.

  9. I’ve been on the pj Washington train since day one! He’s playing like he loves it here, it’s rejuvenating his game having wins to play for, I mean this is this brothers first time going to the playoffs, he’s fantastic!
