They will fire him if he doesn’t have a GREAT playoffs.
JB and one of DG/DM go first I think.

My favorite is all the people on the sub asking who else do we hire? As if there are only 30 people at a time even capable of coaching an NBA team. Maybe they need a proper veteran coach. And those are rare. But would it hurt to give Jordi Fernandez a shot? He’s been in the organization. His wife is from Cleveland. Like how bad could that be?
I don’t dislike JB but he’s been given a decent shot. Maybe he was dealt a bad hand with the roster. But eventually you just gotta move on.
I would be very surprised if the Cavs made any noise in the playoffs. They’re the team everybody is hoping to play right now

Wouldn’t mind if both are gone, need to recoup some draft picks, find a game changing small forward to pair with Mobley/Allen, then build the back court

If Mitchell won’t commit to resigning in the offseason, they need to move on and try to recoup the lost draft capital and maybe some assets. Someone will overspend for a year of his service, even with an expiring. There’s really no perfect outcome here, because the team as currently constructed just doesn’t work at a consistent championship level, even with a different coach. We’re in that weird place where blowing it up doesn’t make sense with the talent, but we also lack the resource to make a big move aside from moving DM or DG. Not going to be a fun offseason for Cavs fans me thinks.

The way the team played when our star guards were out should tell you that this guy can coach, but seems to have no ability to get them to work as a cohesive unit when they’re healthy.
I’ve never heard of a coach who gets considerably worse when his stats are healthy
