Wrote this in my freshman year of college. I joined Bleacher Report as a lifelong Bulls fan hoping to cover my team during the D Rose era, and they reassigned me to the Timberwolves because they couldn’t find anyone else to write for them.
Despite all the sucking and countless dashed hopes (see the title of the article), the Timberwolves have stuck with me ever since. I am beyond grateful for the last few seasons, from Finch and NAW coming in, unheralded, and becoming fixtures, to our homegrown stars in Naz Reid, Ant, and KAT, and even to Rudy after he’s (mostly) proven me wrong about the trade. Night and day from the days of praying for a .500 season from the “proponent of greatness” himself. Three years of playoffs, gang. Let’s enjoy another last week of a regular season in which we are fighting for something bigger instead of thinking about the draft.
