What’s the argument against converting his contract? Seems like a no-brainer to me. That being said, this also seems like the type of move we wouldn’t make for some reason
There gonna fuck this up, no doubt about it. Then Council goes to the heat and suddenly there in the finals next year.
I wonder how much of this is on Ricky’s side? Does he want to play with the Sixers?
He has to be worried about KJ McDaniels’ing his career, Sixers are in a win now mode, but Nurse seems to be good at developing players and this team gets injured a lot, so there should be opportunity for him. On the other, it might make sense for him to go to a bad/rebuilding team to get more playing time.

We need to sign him and give him playoff minutes THIS year however minimal. Whenever there is a chance for him…throw him in and develop him.
Get him in the rotation next year. He is the type of player you can flip if you need to. But most likely he is very worth the money for this team.
I wonder if Ricky Council and his agent even want the Sixers to offer him a deal. They might think they can do better in the open market this summer

Morey’s track record on the margins regarding personnel isn’t great. Actually, since he traded CP3 for Westbrook, he’s been mostly bad with roster management. Good chance he fucks this up.
