Brandon Miller tallied 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists for the Hornets in the losing effort. The Mavericks have won 4 in a row and improve to 49-30, while the Hornets fall to 19-60.
Luka Doncic totaled his 50th game of 30+ PTS tonight, joining Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as players to reach these totals this season. Doncic and Gilgeous-Alexander are just the THIRD PAIR of players in NBA history to each record 50+ games of 30+ points in the same season, joining:
1962-63: Elgin Baylor and Wilt Chamberlain
1961-62: Walt Bellamy and Wilt Chamberlain
They’re the first pair of guards in NBA history to do so.
With 39 points tonight, Luka Doncic has now totaled 2,341 on the year, setting a new Mavericks’ franchise record for most points scored in a season, breaking Mark Aguirre’s previous franchise high (2,330 points in 1983-84).
With his 176th 3PM at 8:05 in the 2nd quarter, Brandon Miller passes Saddiq Bey (175 3PM in 2020-21) and moves Miller into 4th-place for most 3PM in a season by a Rookie:
