To be fair to Mamu, his style of play just seems to gel with anyone. He never stops moving, always looks for the extra pass, and always hustles to rebound. Defense leaves alot to be desired but his positives definitely outweigh his weaknesses.

I remember last year I got free tickets to a Spurs v Jazz game. Didn’t get to see any of the starters play and Vassell was injured still. But I got to see Mamu play and was impressed by this guy. Glad to see other people enjoying this guy on the team as well.

I hope Mamu stays with us.

He looked very strong last night. That really complemented what I perceived to be an intentional call by Pop and team to have Wemby hold back in the offensive paint as a means to limit any potential injuries.

Good BB IQ high energy, unselfish, no ego, knows his role, plays his heart out on offense and defense, makes the right plays, and is a beast at the rebound, which is so important for the scoreboard.
Every possession we win means less potential points for the opposite team, and more for us.
Every rebound can be a difference of up to -3 and +3. That’s a 6 point differential. And this guy gets some tough rebounds consistently.
Mamu is a damn Spur. I love him, and I wouldn’t mind having him around for the next decade if he keeps playing like that. That type of energy out of your bench is fucking great and a tangible and intangible difference-maker.
Also lots of love for Sidy. Very good performance from him yesterday for his first game with significant minutes. Scored, made the cuts, kept it serious on defense.
Great potential as another glue/high energy guy that’s keeps it intense while the starters rest.

And Pop basically didn’t play him the entire season except garbage time.
