While individually Giannis had an amazing season, I think this year it boils down to team success and narratives. I believe that had the Bucks performed up to what we all expected with the Dame trade and Giannis had the same numbers, it would’ve been very hard no to give him the MVP. The bucks also went on a losing streak to terrible teams so late in the season that I can’t fault anyone for putting Luka and Shai above Giannis.
This season in particular it would’ve been a good chance for the Bucks to win 60+ games, since the east was so mid (us included).
I truly wish we can somehow win this year, so people can look back and see how ridiculous it was not to give Giannis the MVP.

Giannis can’t shoot. He’s ALWAYS going to be penalized for that and his FTs. All he can do is win rings to change it. We know it doesn’t fucking matter because he’s scoring more than everyone except luka. But that’s the national narrative. It is what it is.
