Rudy may not be an excellent 1v1 defender, but he's a legendary 'team defender'. Best in the business. He shut Denver down for much of the game.
The NBA is pro offense, so the officials will always favor the offensive player. As a defensive player, you are not allowed to be as physical as the offensive player, so you are already at a disadvantage.
Nobody expects Rudy to shut Joker down — but when KAT gets back, and we have TWO 7ft defenders on Joker, good luck Nuggets.

Nuggets fan here, mad respect for Rudy. His presence inspires fear and made the wolves a formidable opponent and definitely a championship contender.
