I wonder if KD is trying to rebuild some bridges for a potential return. He speaks highly of the team in recent months/ years, workouts with Chet praised the thunder staff. Or maybe he just wants an organization to retire his jersey…

I think that’s exactly what he’s doing. I love the boos every time his bitch ass comes back to okc. Hope he stays gone lol

  2. conquistadorcum

I hope he is, because then we get to be the ones to crush his dreams

  3. YouWereBrained

I think he likes what the team is doing, putting so much emphasis on outside shooting now, and *actually having* outside shooters.

If I had two choices a: KD comes back and Thunder win a championship vs b: KD doesn’t come back and the Thunder never win a championship I’ll take option b.

  5. Cyanides_Of_March

He knows this Suns team is in a really bad spot. No bench. No cap. He’s not getting younger. And they really aren’t that good this season.

I still don’t think he’s coming back, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a calculated step to test the waters. He’s never happy where he is and he’s running out of teams to jump to that can win.

imagine 2 years from now, KD is trying to ring chase and presti gives the final roster spot to russ instead. KD then watches okc finally lift up the Larry O B!

    Unpopular opinion incoming:

I think the KD that left for GS and said those shitty things is long gone. Like most of us I made a lot of bad choices in my twenties. He’s older now and I think he’s changed. He seems to only say good things about OKC and his time here.

We wouldn’t have this current squad if KD never left. We wouldn’t have Russ MVP season either.

I’d welcome him back for the right price. He deserves a shot at redemption after helping build this franchise from nothing and giving us plenty of good memories despite the bad exit. And you know it would be entertaining as fuck to have KD as your third option behind J dub and Shai. He would clearly be a great mentor/training partner to Chet and he only has high praise for him.

Some people treat the NBA like it’s a soap opera but its just a game at the end of the day. If you want to act like a 16 year old and hold a ten year grudge be my guest. All I want is an entertaining team that wins a lot. I don’t care about storylines.

It’s just not that deep at the end of the day. And for some of us older fans, seeing KD in an OKC jersey again would be insanely fun. What other way could he apologize if it brings us a ring lol.

let’s wrap up some of the other shit he’s said and done since he left okc since some folks seem to be thinking that he’s completely turned over a new leaf and he isn’t just now sniffing at a ring that he doesn’t deserve because our team is phenomenal:

    https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/kevin-durant-offered-an-odd-explanation-for-those-embarrassing-tweets-about-okc/

    >(re: The Tweets) He described it as a dissociative episode: He woke up from a nap, and “it just felt like I was on the outside looking in at a conversation. I had to walk in and just be like, ‘Nah.'”

    https://sports.yahoo.com/kevin-durant-says-hell-never-be-attached-to-oklahoma-city-again-163821010.html?guccounter=1

    >“I’ll never be attached to that city again because of that,” Durant says. “I eventually wanted to come back to that city and be part of that community and organization, but I don’t trust nobody there. That shit must have been fake, what they was doing. The organization, the GM, I ain’t talked to none of those people, even had a nice exchange with those people, since I left.”

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/17786172/russell-westbrook-says-kevin-durant-selfless-comments-golden-state-warriors-cute

    >(KD, talking about how much he loves playing with Draymond Green’s balls) “I feel really grateful to play for a team like that and play with a bunch of players who are selfless and enjoy the game in its purest form,” Durant said. “They make it about the players, they make it about the environment, so it was really an easy choice.”

    >(bonus russ response to that) “That’s cute,” Westbrook said. “Cute.”

    https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2772123-kevin-durant-it-was-total-accident-he-liked-comment-ripping-russell-westbrook

    >Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant called it a “total accident” he liked an Instagram comment ripping former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook.

    >Royce Young of ESPN.com reported the news, noting the reigning NBA Finals MVP claimed he made an honest mistake.

    >Sports Illustrated captured the social media exchange, where Durant liked a comment that said of his time in Oklahoma City: “The problem was Westbrook. They had a good ass team.”

it’s 100000000000% fuck kevin durant in the 405 til the day we die.

westbrook gets a statue and his jersey in the rafters.

kd gets to keep talking on blogs.

Sports is a business, yes it sucks that he left for the warriors.

Why are we dwelling on the past though.

If he wants to return and it will only cost us Giddey + First round picks we are practically giving up nothing.

Presti & the organization still have lots of respect for him, he is still a top 10 player in the league even at his age.

I’m all for his return, downvote me all you want but that’s why Presti is running our org and not the emotional lot on reddit.

  10. worksucksbro

Naaaah FOH stop tryna change the narrative we remember what he said about OKC

  11. morningsprite1

Y’all are insane for not wanting KD back….

  12. ParamedicUnfair7560

I don’t think it’s either, he’s 35-36 years old he’s matured as have I since he’s left okc, he got me into basketball now I’m die hard okc fan, I’ll always respect his playing time here, my fondest memories is watching those durant okc teams.

  13. fastnloos

I love the fuck KD meme. And I love the booing he receives when he is in OKC, but I would take him back without being salty under the right conditions.

  14. Professional-Week894

He’s trying to build the bridge again for either a return to OKC or to get 35 retired.

For the former, the ownership simply isn’t paying $51m for his age 36 season and $54m for his age 37 season, and Presti would rather let the Suns stay eclipsed by their cap and draft pick situations.

For the latter, it’s going to be at least 15 years after he retires for the Thunder to put 35 in the rafters, if ever. 0 is already de facto retired and will be officially retired the season after Westbrook quits the NBA. 2, 7, and 8 might all get retired by the Thunder before 35 does.

  15. Imagine thinking we will bring an old star back, and thinking it’s anyone other than Russ

  16. IDespiseFatties

KD is a punk bitch. I will sacrifice my favorite Skyrim file to knock him out first round. Please Basketball Gods make it happen.

  17. spikesolo

Lmao giddey and frp? I’d take him back easy. Get Russ back too off the bench lmao.

    You guys are bugging

  18. Affectionate-Area169

I’ll take KD over Russ any day if it means winning a championship! Come on home KD, people make mistakes and fuck it let’s forgive and win a championship. Can’t hate a guy who doesn’t like who he plays with… which Russell would do some very dumb things late in games early in his career with okc and you could tell KD was frustrated over it. KD wanted championships and knew he probably couldn’t do it with Russ bein reckless
