Fans don't know anything about building teams, ESPECIALLY canadian fans who approach NBA like MLB/NHL where they just fire everyone and nvr build anyone. Masai is doing what he did last time, building a solid team first, and then maybe raps will get the opportunity to add a star to go over the edge like last time. Gasol/Ibaka were smart, not necessarily talented, but smart. That's kinda like Yak/Olynyk. RJ/IQ are underrated in the backcourt the exact same way Lowry/Derozan were. Scottie can do everything. The hope is that Agbagi develops like OG did. We've seen the kind of shooter Gradey can be.That's 7 players right there. If we can just get a true PF so that scottie can be a 3, then Richard is right, we are immediately about a .500 team. Now, if Masai get's the draft right, you losers are going to feel dumb sooner than later.

The rebuild started too late and now the value of the future assets they have isn’t as strong. It will be the dark days for a good few years. Barnes is a great player but he ain’t the guy to lead them to serious playoff runs.
Ujiri has screwed the Raps over the last 3 yrs. Building a team with the same size players with no shooters was just the beginning. Trading Poetl, only to take him back 2 yrs later proves it. The Only benefit of the Raps being so inept is they have a chance to draft Edey at Center. It’s a no brainer. A Toronto kid playing the low post who can dish off and create scoring chances. It’s going to be a long road back, and unfortunately moves could have been made a few years ago to start the rebuild.

Barnes seems like an Iguodala-type wing player… at best, he's likely a 3rd option on a championship team
