You get Luka and Kyrie's rest and healing on their micro injuries over a meaningless win against the worst team in the NBA every day of the week.
It is also an opportunity to give minutes to guys that didn't play that much this season like Omax, Hardy, Powell, Green who is coming back from injury etc.
Even their role players that are in the rotation played no more than 15 mins.

I don't follow NBA much but lets say Mavs lose the next one as well and Pelicans win it leaving both Mavs and Pelicans with 50 wins and 32 losses. Do Mavs still face number 4 spot Clippers or how is it determined as to who faces the Clippers if tied like that by wins and losses at the end of the regular season?
I just saw how pathetic the Mavericks team is without Luka and Kyrie, even Jason Kidd is a pathetic trainer.
I'm assuming they did the math and found out #5 spot is guaranteed, so they'll rest Kyrie and Luka for the last 2 games under fake injuries. But watching the Mavs getting ass whooped by the G-League Pistons at home made my eyes bleed. (Funny thing is the Pistons are so bad this loss barely messed Dallas' defensive ratings.)
OKC will come with full force on sunday (stat-padder SGA would never miss games to get ready for playoffs and they're battling for #1), so I'm expecting a 50+ points blowout.
On the bright side, Hardy and O-Max are looking good to join the rotation pretty soon.
