Wow, Pop is pretty good at coaching!
I didn’t know you could call a timeout when not having the possession
Can Pop call a time out even if Nuggets were the ones inbounding the ball?
EDIT: Looks like Pop called timeout before ball was given by the ref so yup it’s allowed
S tier timeout, and then Denver calls a completely different inbounds play. This sub man.
Kudos to Tre for that save on the ball and assist to DG. That’s quick thinking PG play.
Props to Julian for switching off the inbounds pass to cover Joker .. which I feel caused the inbounding guy to hold the ball a bit longer. Regardless… awesome win!
I love that Pop trusted Sidy’s defense enough to put him on for this one game winning play!
i never understood why malone switched the inbounder. they effectively took their best passer and their best scorer away from their ideal positions
Julian had one job – to watch Jokic’s movement and wave his arms around in that pathway and goddamn did he do it amazingly
In another timeline out there Sean Elliott decides to coach instead of commentate and becomes Pops successor
Pop’s coaching is S tier, but don’t discredit the entire coaching team. Candice Dupree frequently is handing over play cards perfectly tailored to the situation (Not sure if she drawls them up. Becky Hammon used to create the plays herself), Brett Brown and Matt Nielson are really good and probably worthy of a head coach position anywhere else in the league.
