Indiana Pacers crumble in crunchtime against Cleveland Cavaliers

Alex Golden and Facci recap the Pacers failed attempt to get into the 4 seed with a tough loss to a talented Cavaliers team that outplayed Indiana for the majority of the game. The guys then shift focus to what is at stake for Indiana come Sunday afternoon.

  1. Massive lost opportunity could have had the 4 seed with the ability to lock up the 4 seed on Sunday… Home-court advantage is no joke in the first round of the playoffs, it now means we have to deal with Fi-Serv Forum or MSG, which is brutal (assuming they beat the play-in-bound Atlanta Hawks). Unbelievable that they just choked that away, just incredible. Teams will be licking their chops to take down the early-season cocky pacers…at least the Pacers have been humbled over and over and over and somewhat have shut their gills (except McConnell), and McConnell needs to lock it up because he missed some crucial shots down the stretch and had turnovers as well. Be Humble. Nembhard was just bad with the game on the line offensively.

  2. Did anybody notice that we gave Myles Turner the ball for the first five possessions and he came away with two points including missing both ends of a two shots file

  3. The main issue I saw in the first half was yanking Nesmith out after he got a single foul. The Pacers' defense fell apart for a good 10 minutes, as Haliburton stayed on and Donovan Mitchell continued to pour it on and out-physical Indy. The team was able to play major catch up against a young team later when crash was back, instigating things with his bowling pin offense, but it wasn't enough.

  4. Pacers are a young team and their inexperience are showing up. Coaches need to put the ball in TJ and Siakam to run the team. Pascal has experience in leading a team, drawing gravity, manipulating defenses to create open shots for players. You trade for him and his experience, put the ball in his hand and play Hali off-ball to gain experience. Hali is not being a good floor manager to put his teammates in good position. Coaches are still not using #Pascal #Siakam skills to help the team properly. Sixers could be lurking with NBAChampion coach NN, his former NBAChampion and mentor PG Lowry influencing Siakam to join them.
