Coach Malone talked about this recently at a press conference. There are certainly some similarities. The Nuggets alongside the Celtics appear to be the most consistent teams in the NBA since the Bubble. Jokic to me is like the modern day Tim Duncan but obviously Jokic is the better passer. Jamal Murray is like Tony Parker is some ways. Malone has always had Popovich vibes to me. The rest of Nuggets roster seems to compliment Jokic/Murray well much in the same way that the Spurs role players always complimented Duncan/Parker/Ginobili in the 2000s. I’m not sure if the Nuggets quite have a Ginobili type player though.

The other big difference is that KCP can lock down opposing guards without being dirty like Bowen.
