my bullest bull case was repeating 16 additional wins bc Sam said it was super unlikely to happen once. even then, i said 2 seed. 1 and 57 is just deliberately laughing at my limits i set
They want the smoke . They have played down any and every accomplishment ! This team is dangerous! I don’t know who we play but I can tell you nobody wants to play the Thunder . Put a ceiling on them if you want .

How do you believe the position OKC finish this season will affect post season moves as compared to what would have been projected before the start of the season?
The PostGame was surreal. Mark, Shai, Dub & Chet talking w/ pride how great we are instead of the usual "one day at a time". Winning the Division over Den & Min. Insane!
I personally think that for a player to get a 2nd or 3rd MVP they should have to outperform their previous achievement.
It should be unfairly harder to get a 2nd and 3rd trophy. Winning a bunch of MVP trophies isn't supposed to be easy. It wasn't for Jordan, it wasn't for Lebron. There is a reason Curry only has 2 and he defined this decade of basketball far more than Jokic.

Did I think this team would finish number 1 in preseason? No, but I was telling people early on this team had the best core ever. Keep in mind, this is coming from the unofficial #1 fan of Russell Westbrook. The only thing better than winning a championship, would be bringing Russell back and winning a championship.
This team is SO much better than the 2009-10 team. Better shooting, better coached. Shai utilizes his teammates MUCH better than Durant has ever used his teammates AND, this team has Aaron Wiggins. This team is SO deep and they are just kids!
I don't care what anybody thinks, their experience in last season's play in matters, especially as the 10th seed. They basically participated in 2 game 7's. Winner takes all. They got a win, they got a loss. Trust me, it counts.
Oh, and don't think I'm going to let you get away with this I told you stuff when you, Michael, and Derek were saying it was okay they were going to be #3. At that point, nobody thought they would finish #1. 😂

It was possible. I had to leave some "lets see how this video ages" on the haters saying the team was too young without championship experience. 😅 It didn’t age well. People kept in saying next or 2 years. Nah.
That is why I became a subscriber of The last Storm since the rebuilt started because it was very hard to find podcasts that trusted Sam Presti's vision and the Thunder. They knew we still could not see the full picture yet. Watching every game since the rebuilt has been amazing. Even during the tanking time, it was fun to watch them. The way coach Mark would send them to the G-LEAGUE and how they would improve was amazing. Coach Mark also has a vision and you can tell the players trust the coach and the vision Sam Presti has for the future.
I am happy I later found locked on Thunder as well. It is refreshing to not hear everyone doubting or giving hate anytime the Thunder loose, and are able to see the bigger picture.
SGA ain't the mvp. He's been great, but Rylan Stiles has gotten it done EVERY DAY! I've heard his off-season regimen is insane too, and he doesn't take a day off 😭
On Shai winning MVP. I've told you if the Thunder finish #1 he should be a no-brainer for MVP, should being the operative word.
The OKC market size works against him for one thing, but there is an underlying bias with long time national sportswriters that may never go away. Whether they are willing to admit it or not, many still resent Bennett moving the team to OKC. No matter what evidence is presented, they think Bennett should have kept playing in that POS Key Arena. I watched a podcast this season and one of those voters STILL had a Sonics banner as his backdrop!
You'll see that bias raise it's ugly head more and more as these playoffs progress.
Now, I'm not ruling Shai out in this "what have you done for me lately" world we live in.
Shai has done something NOBODY has ever done by leading the youngest team ever to the #1 seed and his numbers alone make his case. And I promise, the Joker not only losing to the lowly Spurs, but blowing a relatively late 20+ pt lead that cost the Nuggets the top spot will sway voters.
