Thank you for always looking at the future. Tired of twitter spaces with fickle fans preaching doom and gloom, calling Masai and coach trash. Darko is going to learn, Masai acknowledged mistakes but I like the whole resume not just last 2 years.
Darko needs to ask for the players that fits what he wants to do and have his own system. The last season was all over the place. No system.
Appreciate the optimism! I miss those guys too but supporting the new crew through the process.
Next season gonna be good!

Looking at the east and looking forward, the Raptors are going to be fine. To me, the east is still weak and before the trades if the Raptors just played .500 ball this year, they would easily have been a playoff team. Tough year, but there a lot of positive things to look forward to for next season.
This year was the rebuild. And injuries kept us from a play-in run. Next year… decent starting crew, but idk if Gary stays. But the bench, a centre badly needed. Kelly O and Dick… they are good. I know people like Ochai, but he needs to shoot better. I like JFL, as he can score, and actually has stats similar to Connington and Alvarado… close to Pritchard. So JFL can be that 3rd spare 10 min a game guard, and insurance as Brown likely leaves. Maybe we get lucky and draft Sarr? A drafted C, Kelly, Ochai, Dick, JFL bench might be what it is. Play-in next year.
Me too with oj, watching the rockets in the finals, with the picture in picture following oj, in my buddies basement, they were bitching cause i wanted to watch the game, and they wanted to play sega ( or Nintendo). Crazy time.
Next year will be better, cant be worse right ( yes it can, but it won't be)
This tank allowed Gradey to grow and the bench guys to play at speed. It was a hard season, weird, started do long ago but seemed to go fast at the same time.
Scottie era is loading, this core SB, RJ, IQ, GD, JP GTJ? Then the bench kelly running it.
Im not sure on Darko, pro's and cons.

This will be a fast rebuild because we pretty much got the pieces to get back into the play-in as early next season. The key is drafting Zach Edey, or at least getting a high caliber center, I think Jak will be okay for us though, but I really think we'll get to the next level with Edey though. We need the other boys outside of the core to work hard this offseason. I really want to see Scottie, IQ, & RJ with the most help possible. I think Olynyk was a really good find for us coming off the bench along with Ochai. Gradey Dick was my favorite player to watch during the 2nd half of the season as he excelled so much from when he started. The biggest thing outside of the draft and continued development of our players this offseason is trying to figure out G. Money because that was either his last game with us today, or we'll resign him. If we had a franchise tag in our league like in the NFL, he probably would've been franchise tagged. I'm not too worried about losing him for nothing because you can always get shooters, but I will miss G. Money if he goes. I'm looking forward to next season, I think Darko himself will get better as a coach too.
Hmmm, let me see. IQ(pg), GTJ(sg), RJ(sf), SB(pf), JP(c), GD(b-sg), OA(b-sf), KO(b-C), GT(OG-V). That's 9 solid players to run with, if we are able to retain them. Masai & Bobby will have to enhance the remaining 6 spots through draft and trades to fill out the roster. Then there are the 3 two-way spots that we have for development. We have a busy off-season.

Next season?…..Continuation of the quickest rebuild in NBA history, lol. Blank canvas. Money to spend. And of course, the draft picks. That is our immediate glorious future. Waaaay too bright, put on your sunglasses folks and enjoy the ride because things are lookin' gooooood……Next year, we in the middle of the pack. A year or two from then, we're competin'……

Quick and Freeman-Liberty need to be the main and backup pointguards. Scottie would be an excellent Pascal like one-two punch to Barret's OG, but he's a wasted talent at pointguard.

I still don’t understand why the M*L*S*E wouldn’t pay recently departed players. Why? Because those peeps have been doing amazing elsewhere(!). MExcept for OG with his NY-friendly agent, I don’t get it.
And, now, GTJ is also with Klutch so, how long will he be around? Yes, he’s been inconsistent, but he said that the guys around him keep changing. SIGH.
I feel like what we've watched this season is Darko trying to figure out a system to work around half a roster rather than having the luxury of roster built for a specific system. Reason being, he appears very aware of our shortcomings. He hasn't lined anyone in front of the bus either like many other coaches. I believe he's intelligent enough to know that he cannot implement whatever he wants because it will not be executed correctly, so I will continue to reserve further judgement about him until enough roster improvements are made and we have more developed players with more basketball IQ.
