I went and looked back at the last 20 or so games that has everyone lauding the Mavs. At face value I’m not impressed. Most of the teams they beat are out or on the play-in fringe and they lost to just about every team with a pulse.
Forget about PG13, Klaw, Luka, Kyrie, the only reason why Luka got those points because Clippers Big Man being Zu his help defense is not good enough when the mavs sets screens on PG & Klaw he don’t come up not only that it’s hard for Zu to graud Luka So yes the Clippers have a great team defensively the problem the Clippers in this match would be Zu n whoever playing center Also James being James Maverick probably is they lineup is small n they gotta play great defense on the Clippers This would be a great series

The main reason why I’m optimistic about Mavs chances in this year’s playoff is, except for THJ and Jaden Hardy, the team plays good-to-great defense, even Luka and Kyrie. Now that their defense is sorted out, they can play virtually every possible tactics. Play big with Gafford, Lively and Kleber rotation. Play small and fast by subbing out Gafford or Lively, and put in Exum or Green, etc
This dallas team is going to surprised ALOT of the basketball world with what they added. If both are healthy bro its not even close dallas is eating the flippers alive in 5 games
If both teams are healthy, I'm still taking the Mavs in 5. There's just no way that Zubac is gonna be playable this series. He's a liability for the Clippers on defense cause Luka feasts on him and is a big reason why he drops 40 on them every other night. And the only redeeming quality Zubac had against the Mavs was he could get them a LOT of 2nd chance points. That's not gonna be the case with Gafford & Lively. So Zubac is gonna be UNPLAYABLE.
And once the Clippers go small-ball…the series is cooked. They might as well start planning their fishing trips.
