  1. Twolves wont win more than 1 or 2 games. Rudy and Kat will be killed after switches. Kat cant punish Kd in the post. Ant will have to go nuclear to even give them a chance. Beal has quitely been really efficient. Kd and Book along with him and sneaky good/solid years from Allen and Nurk is too much.

  2. Big gut check for the Wolves, KAT and Ant. Are the real or are they not? Ant and KAT can prove they are worthy right here. (I think Ant is, sooner or later. I have always had doubts about KAT. Dude should break the game but it never seems to happen consistently.) They had a chance at best record in the West and flubbed it. The knock on Rudy with Jazz is they couldn't make them pay enough at the offensive end to justify keeping Rudy on the floor. MIN is a much better defensive team that that Jazz. Can they stop the hemorrhaging?

  3. Pro tip: It is gantlet, not gauntlet. A gauntlet is a armored glove. A gantlet is basically a spanking line. Which would you need to make it through? (It is misused so much that "gauntlet" is now considered correct, but still the etymology does not line up.)

  4. I liked the clarification here that Rudy is not the problem. He’s been so good this year and still has his detractors but I think he is not going to be “exposed” – if anything he’s probably the key to getting Nurkic in foul trouble and opening up driving lanes later in the game.

  5. Never mind the Wolves, despite the Suns up and downs all season (and they have adjusted a completely new team all year with minimum continuity) they know they are more than a match for any team in the west, beating the nuggets twice in Denver, the Wolves three times so they’re not phased by any team in a playoff series. It’s no longer the regular season, their players have their reputations for being among the best when they apply themselves, their record is not a reflection of how they play at their best, it would have been a top 4-5 place in some previous playoff seedings. Their various collective and individual stats are superb throughout but also in phases of the season. They are now a seriously motivated and galvanised team who are also well aware of their own weaknesses. No team wants to face Phoenix but Phoenix will challenge any team.
