‘A Good Sign’: Why Gregg Popovich’s 1st Year Coaching Victor Wembanyama Was A Silver-Lining Success
Not that we don’t already know about much here, but the culture-building looks set to continue. Pop will probably have to lead a round of cheers for Wemby soon after his cheers for Timmy.
“The time Victor Wembanyama was *almost* the last one on the team bus after facing the New York Knicks for the first time, but was instead waited on by Jeremy Sochan, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Tre Jones, Zach Collins and Charles Bassey epitomized the brotherly bond formed by the team.”
That made me think of this scene from Band of Brothers.
Pop is the goat… I don’t really get why people were questioning/doubting him. He’s Pop

The thing is who’s going to be Pop’s successor? Pop can’t coach for another 20 years, *God Willing*. The natural successor was supposed to be Ime, but Doc took him to Philly. Then Will Hardy was next in line but Ime poached him away to the Celtics to now coaching the Jazz.
I think Becky was supposed to be the third option but she went off to become the WNBA’s Pop, and now has a chance to become a dynasty that rivals the sparks, Comets and the Lynx.
Ettore is getting up their in age and he’s not leaving Milano, Italy. Who’s the assistant coach talent on the bench that seems promising? Is it Mitch Johnson?
