Coby White had a career night to knock the Hawks out of the Play-In: 42/9/6, 2 STL on 15/21 FGs in 43 minutes

Coby White took over in the 2nd half to knock the Hawks out of the play-in. He dominated and helped create a blowout by cutting through the Hawks defense inside the arc and with great all-around offense. His driving pressure also helped him get to the line to draw fouls as well. The MIP candidate made a good case for the award tonight.

  1. The play-ins were decided by Nicolas Batum, Coby White and Keon Ellis. Just as we all predicted.

big fucking play in for 2019 rookies and scoring 40 points

hey coby any tips on not getting injured while doing it? asking for a friend

His shot creation is crazy. It’s not even just his handling, he’s insanely fast. Definitely a star in the making

I’m convinced he would win MIP if Maxey didn’t have a huge narrative behind him going into the season. Everyone already knew Maxey was a stud

  5. He should win mip but people will vote Maxey cause he got more shots this year

  6. ProWrestlingPast

I know he probably won’t win it, but he should be Most Improved Player. His development this season has been unreal.

I’ve been the first to dismiss the Bulls as a dead end organization but a Coby 40 bomb in the postseason is objectively great for the future. Ya love to see it

  8. Bro putting a stamp on that MIP case.

I can’t even be mad that Maxey won’t win. He was already great and just got more shots up this year.

Best performance from a player named Coby in NBA history.

What a game. Coby announced himself to the rest of the league tonight.

Probably on one of the best bargain contract in the league. If he keeps this up his next one bout to be huge.

Just insane that there are people with actual ballots (Looking at you, Chris Fedor) who don’t even have White as a top 3 MIP candidate. Just a shame that he won’t get the award that properly acknowledges the improvement he has made and instead, we’re giving it to someone because we determined once the Harden trade went down that he was destined to get it. It’s not a slight on Maxey, as much as it is that White is literally the most improved player this year relative to last season – if anyone suggested Coby White would average 19 PPG along with 5 assists, people would’ve thought both DeRozan and LaVine got hurt, or you would’ve been laughed at/downvoted like crazy. Last year’s version of Maxey would still have the 76ers where they’re at right now, but if you put last year’s version of White on these Bulls, they might not even reach the play-in – it’s how big he’s been for them, and it’s a shame he won’t get the recognition he deserves.

If you want to have a career high, just wait until you play the Hawks.

Coby >>>>>> Kobe, who averaged 0ppg in the play-in

Love Coby as a person and loved his game in college. Glad his game is finally translating in the NBA.

He was so quick and smart, hats off, fair play, outplayed us.

So agile and deliberate. I’m honestly surprised the bulls are so bad

  18. I think i have been too harsh on the Bulls. They are better than their record shows, given that lonzo hasnt played in 2 years and Lavine also had injuries they actually fought back and Coby has stepped up big this season.

  19. eidolonwyrm

still a round one team but i’m so excited to see the bulls have a new player to build around
