I argue position over talent but do so in terms of who we are. By that I mean the Blazers lottery picks on guards the last 20 years have included Henderson, Sharp, Simmons, McCollum, Lillard and Roy (well Foye coverted to Roy). By comparison our lottery center pics have been Zach Collins, Meyers Leonard and Greg Oden…. Regardless of need, we as an organization are better at selecting talented guards. The better centers we have had during the last 20 years have been acquired via trade. Our best draft night big acquisition in the last 20 years was Lamarcus and we didn't draft him, we traded for him on draft night. We should do what we do well and then leverage the assets to trade for roster need in my opinion.
