Meta World Peace discusses how Michael Jordan would’ve averaged 50 points in today’s game (if he wanted to)

  1. if MJ can't be held/touched, nobody is catching him.. he has the quickest 1st step of any SG.. and with a clear path to the basket, MJ would slash to the basket all day.. metta said MJ torched him for 40 and he was almost 40 Y/O when he did that, another defensive genius dennis rodman also said jordan would average 50 too.. MJ 🐐

  2. Jordan’s skill set was not predicated on today’s game. “Oh but he would’ve learned to shoot 3’s better.” So would every other contemporary player. The imaginary skillset yall give Jordan when trying to compare him to today’s players immediately takes credibility away from the scenario. If you’re comparing Jordan to anyone, past or present, you have to apply who he actually was as a player. And in today’s game a limited shooter isn’t the best thing on the court. Harden’s offense outpaces Jordan’s. The shotclock resets to 14 seconds only. Zones were considered an illegal defense and defensive 3 seconds didn’t exist in Jordan’s era. These details matter to anyone looking to have a legitimate argument for comparison of Jordan to any present day superstar.

  3. I mean come on , what would GOAT James Average in that Cheeseball G League 90s NBA ?

The 90s NBA had very few 3 Point Sharpshooters .

    Ray Allen
    Reggie Miller
    Glen Rice
    Dell Curry
    Dennis Scott

Other than That ? Lebron would be right there at the Top of that 3 Point Making List EVERY season in the 90s NBA . He would average at least 50 Points Per Game and Be a Top Assist Man right there with John Stockton . Jordan wouldn't do neither one.

  4. Nah,…???…hard to tell, but players now is more quicker and more athletic than the past years..like how many times did he dunk on dikembe compared to defenders now?..what about the dribbling you think that would fit on today's era?..come on!..

  5. It looks like people in the comments are just as delusional as Ron. 50ppg? Bro that's so ridiculous considering the wing defenders of today's league. Back then Jordan was blowing by the defense cuz he was faster than everybody out there, and anyone who was as fast wasn't as tall. That ain't happening today. Not only that, but the defense isn't necessarily better now, but more players help against top performers than they use to. 1v1 isn't happening easily for him now like it did then. He wouldn't score any more easily than KD pr SGA today.

  6. And he was DEAD SERIOUS..
    ARTEST said FOR SURE..
And this is coming from a BASKETBALL LEGEND himself..
A DEFENSIVE physical player all his career.. 🙂

  7. Jordan would have developed the 3 more and his mid range is the best all time already as well as finishing at the rim. But the BIG difference is that he'd have 3 pt shooters around him now, back then he only had 1 on the floor. Spacing would be insane for him.

  8. No defenders in today's game, MJ would average 50 easily. 20 points from getting to the free throw alone. 🎉

  9. James Harden only plays when he wants to.
I watched a playoff game a few years ago……he was criticized by sports media for not passing in the previous game….he would bring the ball up, pass it, then stand at the corner of the sideline/halfcourt line while the other 4 guys played offense.

  10. 60!

It’s like in football. If Dan Marino played today 🤦🏾‍♂️💪🏾. When you can’t hit the Qb; a beat up the reciecers. 😂Just wouldn’t be fair.

  11. Bro stop I can guarantee you Jordan would not average 50. However, if we are talking about him in his prime, 30 a game is not unreasonable. It's his average for his career after all. I think he would average 30 indeed.

  12. Especially today. The fact that the defense is weak today and players can do whatever they want. Jordan would have a field day!! To be honest, players would start crying, especially LeBron! Because he ain't getting his way! Lol!!!

  13. this is one of the things when shannon says that lbj is the goat that he is lying. the fact that he agreed with the 50pt average

  14. Yeah, the object is to win championships, right? However you get that done. Jordan got it done.

  15. I don't think so these guys now if you ain't hitting your shots they not throwing you the ball.. back then Jordan keep the ball in his hand hit or miss

  16. Jordan today? Eh he’d be good but that’s it. Everyone would move the same as him, and this league is no longer about being ball dominant.

  17. MJ was absolutely phenomenal, unstoppable, and the undeniable greatest of his era. That being said, we gotta stop saying dumb stuff like this just because it sounds good. He would NOT be averaging 50 points in the league today. It’s a different game altogether. Hand check or not he would have a problem on his hands with these more athletic players and this much faster pace game. Would he still dominate? For sure! But y’all gotta stop the cap. Let Jordan’s greatness be exactly what it was and leave it at that.

  18. It's pretty easy to see him hit 50. His best season he averaged 37, and he needed a flak jacket to go to the hoop back then. Now take that same guy and imagine you can't touch him. Plus he's going to work on his 3 ball more as well. Easy 45-50 every night, if he wants it.
