Laker lakers laker….. they suck ….. end of. Story 😊
The Lakers just dont matchup well with Denver at all… they need to play flawless in order to get a W and I dont see that happening in a series.
Lakers would have to have a perfect series to even take it 7.
Lakers don’t have the bench to compete, and outside of a good AD & Bron game they’ll get blown out.
FT disparity is real and the Lakers still couldn’t take advantage of that.
In conclusion Lakers will lose 4-1 at best 4-2, they are cooked and only Lakers delusional believe they can win the series.
Lakers should have ducked Denver and hoped for another team to do the job for them e.g., Wolves, Suns.
Lebron is shrinking in clutch
Jokic and Murray arguably best offensive duo I’ve ever seen in Playoffs.
They’re 2 of 7 players EVER to avg 25+ 5+ 5+ playin at least 50+ playoff games and the only teammates ever (other 5 are LeBron MJ Jerry West Curry Giannis)! Of those 7 they’re the only 2 with splits of at least 45+/40+/80+)! Joker in his 1st 9 yrs and players 29 and under is one of THE 3-7 GOAT (Judging 1st 9yrs only and players at 29 and under only)!
Lakers blew it in first half not being up 11-25 instead of just 3 at half. LeBron played as well as realistically possible in yr21 at 39 in 1st half and (3/3 3s, 19 pts, 5 assists that’s maybe double if they hit 3s + Rui missed bunny) other Lakers besides him went 1/10 from 3! If Rui makes that layup and other Lakers 3/10 or hot and 7/10 Lakers up 11-25 at haIf instead of 3! This was the game to steal with how Lebron/AD played especially that 1st half, but being up only 3 vs 11-23 range was demoralizing especially given Nuggets missed shots they won’t always miss!
If Lakers were well run right now they’d have a roster that can actually compete again if Bron/AD all nba level like they have been. They’re not the problem it’s the fact that their FO/owner inexplicably got rid of or passed on the following which had they not makes Lakers legit title contenders:
Caruso
KCP
Zubac
Brooke Lopez
DeRozan (instead they traded for past prime worst contract in nba by far horrific Westbrook by giving away great 3&D KCP + Kuzma +draft picks😂…All bc they wanted shorter contracts vs 3-4yr contract)
Jaime Jaquez Jr (LA kid from UCLA most nba ready guy & they took 19yr old raw upside JHS)
Ty Lue (or even still Vogel). Ham is horrific 🤣🥴where as Malone elite (I personally like Lue who Bron wanted but like Caruso DeRozan their🚮FO/ownership lowballed him on years to match LBJ’s shorter contract).
Lakers literally had the ability to keep or have all of that above which clearly improves their defense/rebounding and just better players (+ coaching) then they have now by a lot. It’s fair to laugh/clown Lakers FO for that, but objectively if they had all of that above (which a good FO would have) nuggets fans (and lakers/Lebron haters) would admit Lakers roster/team would be much tougher (especially taking away KCP from Nuggets) if they had those guys above vs most bad to mid roster 3-15 now they’d be legit title contenders!
Part of it also is yr21 LeBron 68,500 mins (most ever + soon to be most games ever passing Parish Kareem next year), yr12 AD 27,500 mins AD vs yr9 Jokic 23,500 mins and yr7 14,500 mins Murray. AG MPJ KCP in heart of prime too and Watson Braun better 2 way young prospects then Lakers have too (especially ones 22-24 range). So Bron more mins then the other top3 players in this game combined.
LeBron being older makes those inexcusable roster/coaching blunders that much worse. Yes he and AD not as great as 19-20 and 20-21 pre injuries (they win b2b) but they also had much better roster/coaching around them then (especially defensively and going back to 18/19 giving away Zubac Brooke Lopez).
PS Embiid +14 on vs -21 off shows you his value and he started awesome, but hard for me to say he “dominated the game” after the injury as he started 4/5 then went 4/17 after that. He goes efficient 13/22 instead of 8/22 then 76ers win. This is part of what separates Jokic from Embiid in Playoffs. EFFICIENCY especially in 3rd & 4th quarters (along with passing, endurance, availability which I know is partly bad luck).
Also Conley is just old, but in his prime he absolutely was a solid defender.
Lebron didn't take a shot in 4th until there was 1m20 left.
So your free throw logic tells you JOKIC and the whole Nuggets team didn’t get a SINGLE free throw in the second half? Rofl Jason, your bias is killing you lol
Jokic won against the Lakers AND the Refs
Before game 1 everyone said the Lakers had a great chance to win because they were rested and confident from beating the pelicans. Nuggets just gave them and everyone a reality check. Nuggets vs Celtics are on a finals collision course. Lakers fans can cry and have moral victories on twitter all they want
It was so obvious, Lakers were hot and focused lat the beginning and Nuggets were a bit rusty at the beginning. But Nuggets found some oil and started their grind machine and Lakers lost some wind and at the end it was as expected.
Johan Buva talked about Lakers' abysmal record when they draw less than 20 something fts per game and that tells you everything you need to know about them. It was such a physical game last night and contact was allowed for the most part yet in the 2nd half Lakers started to get foul calls for grifting while Jokic was hacked multiple times and it resulted in no calls.
No way Knicks win that game if Embiid was healthy. He had no lift on rebounds or any time he tried to score and so that played into Mitchell Robinson. Surely you have seen enough basketball to know that Embiid was playing on one leg the whole second half.
I told these fake Laker fans that DUMMY Dlo would return 😂
19-6 Free throws for LA
LARefs/LAFTs didnt even matter because Nuggets offense way too good…Thats why some teams cannot be the LARefs/LAFts because you need to beat both
Great review
Can you tell me when to put 10K on LA for a single game? Because I’m tired of winning small money on Denver..every time
What? the Lakers don't commit fouls? Tapes tells a different tale.
Since when does Jokic-deserve the "Mini-Shaq" Treatment? Haucimora/Davis mugged and malled him enough to get 3-4 fouls each on him; it was ridiculous that Diandre Jordan got the same number of free-throws in 9-mins (2) as N. Jokic who played about 36min???? huh? then you see stats of 19-to-6 in Free Throws; Lakers put in bonus before 7min mark; the team didn't make 1st team foul til 4min 30sec left mark; Nuggets shot zero-{4th qtr FT's)- did I hear right for 2nd half???? It can't get any more attempts to "Fix" for LeFraud and the Lakers….Unless the Lakers get thier usual victory margin of free-throws advantage against good-teams or close games -{18-25}- they will be swept or Gentlemanly Swept…
I am not a Nuggets fan; just sick of w-all the blatantly obvious FT-Like the Toronto Coach said when the Lakers got 23-t0-2 FT's in a game earlier this year that the lost by 2pts……"IT's A CRAP"!!! That said I pull for them to decisively win this series so LeFlop can give this years failure excuse then be more forced to retire already…..
Let Antman cook 🏀🍳 ♨️🔥🔥
Dude was Unguardable! 👏🏿🙌🏿
Lol AD not guarding Joker 🃏 had me cracking up 😂
It's always great for the league when the Knicks are relevant 👍🏿
When Mitchell is ready he's that guy!🏀💪🏿
I was a lil worried when Dlo nailed his first shot tonight cause LA really needs him. But he disappeared again. Lakers are in big trouble. So is anyone else in Denvers way. That was far from an A+ performance from them n they still made it look pretty easy. The king is dead. Long live the King 🃏
Its actually Lakers Fault for deciding to take the number 7 in this playoffs, if they only chose number 8 seed, they would have faced OKC rather than the nuggets, it should have gave them an opportunity to move on to the 2nd round who agrees?
Lakers 19 Free throw attempts
Denver 6 Free throw attempts
And still Denver won… Denver is just too good…
Jason you are totally delusional regarding the free throw disparity the Lakers receive from LeRefs. So much so that I'm asking myself why I would watch any of your content going forward.
Lakers 19 Free throws vs Nuggets 6 Free throws, well done Nuggets first win vs the refs‼👏
Murray had 0 FT and Jokic only getting 2 FT….is crazy 🤯
65-48 points in the paint advantage for DENVER too, so that excuse that the Lakers shoot more FTs because they attack the rim is nonsense. 🙄
Anyone who watched the game can tell 80% of the free throws by the Lakers in the second half are imaginary, and the refs didn't call the same foul when its on the Nuggets.
Davis has his hands wrapped all around Jokic no calls…Reaves isn't touched and refs call foul on Nuggets how can the the NBA keeps getting away with this? 🤔
Think of the millions of people that payed to go to games and watched their teams lose this year because refs handed the Lakers over 10 more points per game with fake free throws how can this keeps happening and no one is doing anything about it?
Lakers literally need 20+ free throw advantage to win. Disgusting!
Jason is trying his best to not acknowledge the fact that the Lakers get more free through attempts than any other team in the league. It's okay buddy, the Denver is going to win this series in either five or six games regardless of the fact
LeSwept 2.0.0 ______loading_
Nothin sucks more than essentially hearing that the Lakers have the talent, but no process in place to get them back on track. It is crazy no one on the staff or on the floor realizes why they lose momentum.
Mailbag question: Jason would you be okay with me starting an NBA YT channel called Hoops Tomorrow Night
Any Michael Jordan led team beats this Denver team in 5! 6 games maximum
Reaves gotta be in the point , dlo out , and unfortunately Lakers dont have a big 5 to get boards and bang with jokic ( javale , dwight in 2020)
brother. you are full of it. the lakers are gifted free throws from the league. stop this
Thought LA might be able to win a game this time around. Boy, was I wrong 😢
This is the result of thinking about Horsey Cart Racing while playing basketball. Total relaxation, this is the off-season for Joker. But you should see him stress out in the Horsey Cart Playoffs! Remember the Joker lesson, if you don't want your wife to stress you out – just think about another woman elbowcough
Stevie wonder can see there is a bias for the lakers and they get too many free throws, numbers show it, 8:53 and beyond calling it a conspiracy theory.. cmon Jason, get your fandom out of there. We all see what’s going on. Lakers were in a bonus at 5:40 left in the fourth, there were some obvious terrible calls on Austin reeves grifting
Lakers needs more help from refrees like in 2002 PO's
Problem with the Lakers supporting cast compared to Denver’s is their 3rd & 4th options are both ball dominant. Not that they are worse players at face value. Jason’s overall point still stands tho
The refs really put in work for the Lakers as I predicted. I think it was 19-6 on free throws. They did their best to help the Lakers but they need to do more next game, it just wasn't enough. It's so annoying seeing the blatant officiating bias to help the Lakers. They were +507 this season on free throws. BY FAR the biggest gap in the NBA.
I see that Jason is still riding Lebum and the officials nuts, as usual
Pelinka getting D Lo over Conely was such a terrible decision. If Lakers had a Scorer Let Bron and AD focus on rebounding even a Bogdonovic.
