  1. He made a video for every team and he’s firing them off as they get eliminated 😭 all but 1 will get used

  2. I think their issue is they don’t really have a true 3rd option or borderline elite 2-way player. Sabonis is great, but is easily neutralized come playoff time and he needs to develop more of a three point shot and some more dribbling skills. Otherwise his only value come playoff time is rebounding and occasionally being able to beat guys in the paint. But when a strong interior defender is present, he’s nowhere near as effective and that’s a problem for a max contract player. If I’m Sacramento, I’d try very hard to acquire Jerami Grant in the offseason

  3. Fox Murray and Sabonis are all great building pieces, they just need to improve on the periphery with a better guard/wing option. However, I think they are closer to figuring it out than we give them credit for

  4. Too early for me to watch this video. Still bummed out. But based on the thumbnail and video title sounds like you hit the nail on the head.

    I’ll watch tomorrow. Thanks!

  5. I feel like one of the biggest problems with the NBA is it it punishes teams for taking incremental steps to improve. You talk about it with the kings and to a lesser extent with the bulls, if you’re good, but not a title contender then you pretty much have to just blow it up and get as awful as you can for a few years.

My suggestion is to replace the lottery with a single elimination tournament to decide the top 4 pick. (Winner gets 1, runner up 2, winner of consolation game 3, loser of consolation 4) It’d give teams a reason to try to be as good as possible even if they’re not title contenders. And then teams like this can either take good young talent, or have a more valuable trade piece. Either way at least there’s a path forward for them rather than, “welp guess we have to either throw a Hail Mary that mortgages the future or tear it all down and suck”

  6. Sacramento saved their draft pick by not making the playoffs. If they made the playoff their pick would have gone to the Hawks

  7. Sign and trade for Nic Claxton, sending Barnes to Nets would make sense for the Kings to get better defensively and get a 5 that can play next to sabonis

  8. A lot of picks you say… a Center you say…

I think we know the perfect trade target for the kings, and thats Lauri Markkanen

Jazz are rebuilding, not quite near completion. Trading away Lauri takes them back a bit, but I'm sure they're looking to trade him soon anyways. I think they can get a haul of picks from Sac, and Sac gets exactly what they need. The Jazz will be able to build off those picks and/or trade them for whatever other moves they'd like to make.

  9. God bless! Jesus Christ is King and saves and is the way! Psalms 62 – "Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken." ✝🤍💪 Jeremiah 29:11 – "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."✝🤍💪

  10. Would it be beneficial for the Kings to trade for Mikal Bridges?

    Kings get: Mikal Bridges
Nets get: Kevin Huerter and/or Keegan Murray, maybe Trey Lyles, 2026 1st Round Pick unprotected, 2027 1st Round Pick lottery protected (if the Nets don’t feel like they’re getting enough, and if this pick doesn’t transfer, it would be a 2028 1st Round Pick instead)

  11. The Kings pick they traded to the Hawks for Huerter was a top 14 protected pick, since they missed the playoffs they will keep that pick.

  12. Sucks that it ended like this, but i'm still optimistic about Sacramento's future..the fact that they damn near won 50 games while being insanely inconsistent throughout the season is not bad imo..cause they could clearly bang with the good squads, its just they dropped a sht ton of gimmies against the ass teams

  13. They need to go after Markkanen and/or Clarkson. And I know people are going to be upset when I say this, but it's time for Mike Brown to go, yes, he turned the franchise around and that's great, but this is what happens with his teams every time. He comes in and gets them to play better defense, so their record improves from where it was, but then they quickly plateau and then never improve from there. He is not a good X&O's coach (there is a reason when he isn't a head coach he is hired as an 'assistant' defense-coach). I know pick and roll basketball is the preferred style played today, but the Kings need to get some motion going in the half-court (it just turns into a 1 on 1 game), they struggle when they aren't hitting threes.

  14. The Kings had the 15th ranked offense, and the 14th ranked defense. So they aren't that defensively challenged, and the issues they do have on D have nothing to do with Sabonis:

-they had the 10th best defensive 2p FG%
-they gave up the 7th fewest shots at the rim
-they led the league in defensive rebounding percentage
-they gave up the 3rd fewest points (and the 7th-lowest FG%) against opposing centers

Defensively, the glaring problem is on the perimeter: the Kings gave up the 2nd-worst opponent 3pt% (38.7%, behind only Utah's 39.5%).

I don't care who you have at center – Rudy Gobert doesn't solve the Kings' defensive woes on the perimeter. I understand a big-time rim protector can empower perimeter players to overplay shooters, but the issue for the Kings was simply lack of effort and lack of following through on close-outs. Coach Mike Brown voiced a number of complaints throughout the season about the roster failing to execute the team's defensive scheme on the perimeter, and about guys failing to close out.

Other than that, the Kings just simply lacked firepower. They need to have another guy who can reliably score 20 if we tell him, "We need 20 from you tonight, here's the ball."

  15. They need more defense, sabbonis isnt a defender and while fox is better and murry is good theres really not a single succesful team without a proper rim protector

  16. They need that forward that can get his too . Fox is the only one with a bag and is able to get his anyway he tries. They need that forward that can help when the offense is stagnant with the defense collapsing on the DHO.

  17. As good as a defender mitchell is . Hes also a liablity do to his size. Pelicans are 6-0 against them and it shows that they cant handle the length of that pels roster. Sabonis is a true 4 that plays like a 5 . They need a solid 5 to help take the load off sabonis with help on boards and defending. Hope monte makes a move .

  18. I find it funny how content creators talk about this team this year. No, they actually do not have one of the best offenses in the league. Its actually more middle of the pack. They actually have improved defensively due to their backcourt lineups 2nd half of season. Going from 28th def rtg to 15th def rtg end of year means they were a top 5-8 defensive team to finish the year. No, keegan is not a decent defender. Hes actually an ELITE defender, the stats prove it. This team needs another shotmaker or playmaker especially if monk isnt coming back. I agree, talent is kind of middling for this team. Internal growth can only go so far.

  19. Giving barnes another contract was terrible. Huerter has to improve coming off his injury. Have to retain monk but it will be pricey. This draft is very weak. Hopefully get a good player in the 2nd round.

  20. They can become contenders just as soon as Domas stops committing stupid turnovers in the closing minute of game 81 and vaporizes their seeding.

  21. I believe we get to keep our 2024 pick because we didn't make the playoffs, which means our 2025 and 2026 picks are now locked up too, they're also protected.

  22. Sabonis and Fox arent a 1-2 on a championship team. Either one would be a nice 2 on a Finals team. Sabomis and Fox will make a respectable team that's fun to watch and might win a round or two. Neither one is at that Giannis/Embiid/Jokic stratosphere.

  23. I agree with another commentor – calling it a talent problem is not identifying the true issue. The Kings playstyle caught other teams off guard last season and it's much of the same this season. Defence wins championships and frankly the Kings just don't play good team defence
