  1. "Ujiri on Barnes: You don't need to motivate him, never a question of work ethic, "passion is always there"

whole year of fanboys and media gas lighting us, we were right again.

  2. Love your analysis of Masai words and body language. I too donā€™t understand where Masaiā€™s head is at. He appears to have lost his confidence. Something is very wrong here. Not just his ā€˜conversationā€™ (if thatā€™s what it is) with Grange. It was bizarre. As the head of the Raptors, he should be more sure of his teamā€™s situation and future direction. There is more going on here than we know.

  3. Hopefully… the NBA will see.. that there will not be anymore revenue gained in SA by giving them a the 7th pick… but conversely.. i'm hoping that they saw a major and significant drop in viewership in the 2nd half of the season in Toronto.. and elect to give us a top 6… afterall.. this bass ackwards world is all about the benjies

  4. Grange is off his game. he did a radio interview with Smith and Jones a few weeks ago and the dude was just filling air with a whole lot of nothing "umm, you know..i think…this is the way….how they did this…"

  5. People change, Masai is only human. I still have confidence in him. The world is different than it was pre-2019 and so is the world of basketball

  6. Rob, I dont think Masai was unsure about his own draft protections. I went back and watched it a bunch of time… Granges question and knowledge of draft picks is so bad that he seems to confuse masai in this situation. Like the question was so idiotic Masai almost couldnt even answer it because he was trying to figure out wtf Grange was even talking about.

  7. ur reading too much into masai and thast grange exchange. grange is a goof clearly confused and asked a total stupid question that was wrong. masai i dont think wanted to belittle him in the media to set him straight thus why he was being nice with the "correct" comment

  8. Loved the break down. Not to harp on this again but the Schrƶder choice really had me questioning Masai and the FO.. ā€œDennis time!ā€ was an inside joke at my household all during his tenure .. but thing is I remember him being like that in LA, too, and everywhere else .. I really thought they went for a poor manā€™s FVV (vwry), and I thought we were past that .. hated it

..Masai body language wise here, I get saying ā€œI thinkā€ a little (although there are better ways of saying it) when you donā€™t want to bluntly say things are great when the facts of a very down year are in front of everyone .. but he definitely went there a little too often for comfort, and tone wise you can feel the doubt..

Then again if the Raptors get the luck with the pick and the draft over all, and with their young players that they have .. whew.. hereā€™s hoping they are building something special. May the Scottie years not be wasted šŸ™

  9. All the smarts and ability in the world and still a complete dummy. Not to mention a selfish POS. Feel bad for his family and brother, who now has to try and focus on the playoffs, and to a lesser extent, the Raptors. Crime doesn't pay kids, no matter how smart you think you are. Good riddance.

  10. IS THIS THE WAY THAT YOU HELP SOMEONE WHO HAS AN ADDICTION MR. ADAM SILVER..THIN K ABOUT WHAT YOU JUST DID.

  11. Raptors player Porter lacks values morals ethics principles A nba basketball player is an imperfect human being mistakes happen dont just cheer on promote hype highlight only the good . He was deliberaltly altering nba games with his injuires lack of effort . ROB you need to be realistic be critical stop backtracking pathetic . Its obvious youre not too apolegetic hes a petty criminals

  12. Masai going back to players he previously wanted and players that he knows personally is falling into a comfort zone

  13. Yeah I donā€™t t think Masai didnā€™t know about the pick. I think the question was so stupid he got confused I got confused,
Is like when someone says something so stupid you question yourself.

  14. I dont actually know why peaple should be able to bet on roleplayers like people think that betting on them is a safe bet there are no safe bets i hoped the league wozld ban betting on role players

  15. The biggest thing people are missing with this whole Jonay Porter situation is how serious gambling addiction is. This man put his NBA career on the line and he was making $15 dollar bets. This is a man with a serious gambling addiction.

  16. @33:45 When Masai says: "Either way it plays out well for us. We either get a high pick this year or next year we play ball and see where we stand. If you're not picking high next year then your team is good, or your team is progressing t he righty way". I think Masai is just saying we will play and compete regardless if we either keep the high pick this draft and covey next years, or we convey it this year, and next year if were outside of the lottery it just means our teams winning. My reading from this is that they are competing and not planning to tank next year, which I personally agree with. The entire exchange with Grange is a bit weird especially the way he phrased the question initially to Masai. Grange was asking whether going forward if we don't keep the top 6 pick (i.e it's conveyed this year) are the Raptors willing to tank to ensure we get a top 6 pick next year. It's kind of a stupid question because at the end of the day it's a draft lottery. Nothing is guaranteed if you do decide to tank.

  17. Yeah man I think you're just overthinking what he says to Granges question. I take it as more of a rhetorical "wtf" are you even saying to me "Correct". Like a "Im not trippin, correct"?

  18. Michael grange sounds like a moron here. He has no idea how the pick protection works. If we lose it this year, we keep it next year. If we keep it this year, we lose it next year. Itā€™s not that hard.

  19. Masai is just being nice. You read into things way too much. He didnā€™t want grange to look like an even bigger dumb ass

  20. Hey Rob, I suspect that Masai hasnā€™t changed much. Likely some other factors at play (ie MLSE pressure) thatā€™ve contributed to the approach over the last few years.

  21. just so everyone is aware the pelicans and kings play in game determines where the pacers pick lands. everyone should be wanting the pelicans to win because it means the raptors get the 17th pick. if kings win the raptors get a worse pick.

  22. kings lost to pelicans, so its good news for raptors, they get the 17th pick.

with updated espn mock draft the raptors likely pick at 6, topic, buzelis, castle, holland, cody williams, reed sheppard. I think they will take a big versatile defensive forward as its been the prototype masai looks at and its also highest upside in draft. so top 4 holand, buzelis, cody williams.

Edey dropped a bit to 15 on the update.

at 17 raptors may pick mccain, devon carter, edey or even kyshawn george, missi

at 31 justin edwards, kel el ware, ryan dunn, ulrich chomche

possible trades at draft, jakob poeltl and bruce brown and chris boucher. and gary trent jr sign and trade in summer.

cleans the slate for masai to start fresh and develop and compete in 2025 while getting a good pick. likely the only chance masai gets to clean house and start over in toronto and build the team like he wants to for the first time from scratch. also likely never to get this many chances in a draft to find an nba player with teams likely more willing to let go of the pick this year.
