I would say Grizzlies with having JJJ at the 4 and Claxton at the 5 with Ja and Bane at 1 and 2 would be crazy scary defensive team both inside and out, they can move a contract or two and get him there for about 15-18 mil which I think he would find them enticing.

Grizzlies or Spurs I could see since JJJ and Wemby can space. The fit with Duren and Stewart would be absolutely awful so I don’t see the pistons doing it. Everything looks like they’re signing Tobias lol

If detroit is interested in doing a trade for claxton i’d take a chance on duren all day. I get the defensive concerns but he’s super young and has a ton of upside a front court with him and clowney would be amazing going forward

I think if someone is being completely objective, they would realize Clax had platuead last year and showed no real offensive improvement. He’s a non-shooter and kills floor spacing when played with other non-shooters, for this reason he makes little sense on Detroit. Marks has once again bungled another contract situation and now we have a tough decision to make. Personally I would rather s&t Clax than pay him anything in the 20s, when you rank all centers he lands in the 13-18 range and this Brooklyn team cannot afford to hand out multiple bad or questionable contracts and expect success because their margins are so slim, from all the terrible moves by the FO.
