  1. I get that you are kind of doing your own thing, but some thoughts:

Daniels doesn’t do much for Portland. He can’t shoot. I think they would rather have Rupert who has a very high upside, is 19, can shoot, and grew to 6’8”. He will not be a throw in.

The Blazers will want more for Simons. He is an elite offensive player. I think Anthony Black would be included as a better version of Daniels. Those first round picks will be late twenties.

Blazers will be trading their seconds or taking stash guys if they can’t. Will likely be trading their 13th as well.

    They absolutely won’t cut Walker.

They are building on Ayton. Clingan is not athletic enough for what they are valuing. Castle or Holland is most likely imo. I want Buzelis personally.

    Agree on Knecht.

  2. Just a few things from a Blazer fan here. Banton played back up PG for us and was decent. I'd still slot him as a 3rd stringer there. Toumani should start at SF. He is a borderline all defense guy right now and a consistent 3pt shot away from being an excellent starter. No way we get that deal for Rob Williams. I'd be super happy about it though. That's a good deal for Ant. The Thybulle deal hurts. Seams like a give away. He's good and not that old. Dropping Walker hurts but that may be the reality. He's better than Murray but it's close.

  3. My ideal rebuild tackling some main problems which are :

1-Trading either Simons or Brogdon : Opening up the overcrowding of guards developing scoot and shae more and continuing the tank since we lack talent and we need to tank at least one more year.
If we are to trade brog I would think of contending teams such as Philadelphia or the Knicks or the wolves
Simons I think the magic alongside Suggs Franz and Paolo would be a perfect fit we get back maybe AB and a pick

2- Trading a few more Vets opening up minutes and spots for new picks in this draft such as trading Mattise thybulle or Jerami grant.

Thybulle I think would be great to a team like the bucks who need someone cheap yet good on the defensive end

While grant I think could fit well with the kings

3- Drafting well am not much into this year draft since it’s already a weak draft but what I love are Sarr and Cody Williams if we could a wing to replace grant that would be an ideal pick this draft

  4. I feel like a more intriguing NO trade is Ant + Rob + filler guy (maybe Kris) for CJ, that gets routed to a 3rd team and 2 FRP, one of which is the Lakers. Or, the same package for Ingram, but no picks. Daniel’s is really good but we already have a logjam at PG and I don’t see why they would move off him

  5. Players don’t magically gain draft value from being in march madness they’re no better or worse then before, Thats just recency bias. Taking clingan over like holland or someone else who have a way bigger upside is a massive mistake.

  6. I'm not loving any of these moves. Here's how I would do it: Simons + Thybulle + Golden State first round pick for Franz Wagner and Markelle Fultz. Trade Jerami Grant + walker to heat for jovic, duncan robinson, kevin love, josh richardson + their first round pick. We start Scoot+Sheadeon+Franz+Toumani/Duncan Robinson+DA. We add vets to teach the young guys, get off some bad contracts, shooting and fill out the roster. Franz is a great play making 6'10 wing who would doesnt need to shoot all the time like jerami and simons. plus we might get lucky and get a guy like Sarr or Zaccharie Risacher

  7. Fun exercise and noble attempt, but you sadly confirmed what us Blazers fans already knew. After 3 years of tanking, Blazers will be tanking for at least another 3 years unfortunately. Hopefully Jody sells the team soon.

  8. Nice format. But the rest of your observations are super suspect. Grant, Ayton, and Brogdan would be your trade focus. You haven't seen much of this season either. Scoot is not a get your teammate an opportunity first type guard, so far. Maybe in 2 years. Spot up shooting also consists of guards, which the young guy only passes to when he has no other option, this season Scoot is learning one of the most difficult positions in sports. Anfernee stays! Lottery pick should not be wasted on a center because we can find them in the second round or late first. This draft has several PF and swing players. That line up with the Trailblazers needs in both shooting, size and skills. Your final team roster has come full circle to no improvement over the summer. It also has me thinking no one wants the Trailblazers to succeed. It's time to show growth results next year. Front office, GM, coaches, and players, Growth is what the fan base expects! SMH…… Thybulle for Dyson and Lidell. Getting rid of Rupert (RU-PAR), and Jemari, there is too much upside to get rid of them for nothing better. OK, attempt. SMH….🤔

  9. Camara came with Ayton from Phoenix. After the Dame exit last season, I'd be surprised if Portland & Miami make a trade this year.

  10. Thybulle is our best defender. We can’t give away all our veterans. Why would we just give away players… Do more research on what the Blazers want to do. We’re trying rebuild quickly and be back in the playoffs next year.

  11. Bruh, as a blazers fan, I can't figure out why people trust and like Kris Murray so much. Sure, he's the bro to Keegan, but I genuinely see Kris as a REALLY low ceiling guy. Just watching him play solidified that for me. I'd have traded him out before I'd even consider trading or releasing Bari as a joke. I'm high on Bari, but Toumani is my guy and the one I'm highest on, even over Shae which is hard to do. Ant HAS to go no matter what. And I'd absolutely seek to get JG off this roster for quality assets for the future. You really do not need JG for your veteran leadership, and can get cheaper vets to do that job via his contract. He's way too spendy to even consider keeping here. I trust Rayan over Kris more as well, despite his own struggles so far.

Basically, Kris could be cut, traded or suddenly cease existence, and I genuinely wouldn't notice, and the impact on the team would be null. And of course, #BURNANT lol.

    – Honestly, if this team was truly in full rebuild, JG & Ant would be traded out of here without hesitation. Trade them away for the best possible deal.
    – No idea what the hell to do with Rob & DA, since they're both about the same age, Rob is injury prone as hell and really only a Defensive-Specialist as a rim protector and decent rebounder making him a starter only type player who makes zero sense to bring off the bench for any team, but DA is spendy himself, and is really shaky in his mentality and way he plays. You never know which DA you're getting night to night. And mind you, I do not dislike DA, in fact, I've never bought into all the hate he gets or the narratives that suggest he's trash, because he isn't. But he's got to figure himself out and get his head on straight. So what do you do with them? If you trade one, okay, but can we realistically pull that off and do we get a genuinely good return for it that fits the future of the team? If keep both, then… we'll probably never be able to find a logical, functional rotation between them. They also steal minutes from Bari, Duop and Toumani at the 4 if played together which isn't right either.
    – I'm definitely looking to keep Bari, Toumani, Shae & Scoot, those are my borderline untouchable players.
    – DA is only touchable if the return on a trade is solid quality. But it's a tall order.
    – Rayan is a wait and see kind of deal, where I'm intent on keeping him at least one more year, probably two, and giving him opportunities to play and develop in live time with the experience before open him up to be traded.
    – Duop of course I'm keeping as well, but again, is a DA situation. A trade has to be good enough to justify even considering it, let alone doing it.
    – As for the rest of the roster? I'm more than open to trading them all out.
If no one wants Kris for anything of value in a trade, I'm probably open to cutting him from the roster this off-season.
    – Ant & JG HAVE to be traded, period, end of story. I'm immediately moving on getting them off this team, starting with Ant. I have a endless list of logical reasons to get rid of Ant, that most people hate so much because of their intense bias for him. Oversimplified? He's egregiously overrated.
    – I'm equally open to keeping Oscolm on the team this year as I am trading him out for another solid return for long-term assets. He's on a relatively affordable deal for one more season, he's up in age, high IQ, very well spoken, loves being a motivator and leader for young guys and upcoming players, still provides incredible value on the court, is a well-known great locker room presence, and of course, he has not only said how he is absolutely okay with and in fact wants to be able to come off the bench while helping be the mentor leader of the team for the young guys, and has proven that in action as well, which is incredibly rare for most players in the league. So really no reason not to happily have him for another season.
    – I believe at 13, we should be looking to get either Clingon or Filipowski in order to solidify our goals of future assets and decision to look to trade out Rob. If we can snag either of those guys at that pick, I'm immediately seeking to tade Rob away so they can take his place as the main backup to develop behind both DA and Duop, Toumani and/or Bari at the 4. I feel like both could play stints at the 4 and do fine there, even though of course they'd dominantly be played as the backup 5.
    – I would be open to trading the top 3 pick this year and perhaps one of the guys I'm willing to trade out or seeking to trade for some first rounders next season if the team is right (being one of the teams more likely to get a top 3 pick next year). Then I'd obviously be seeking out Cooper Flagg if at all possible. lol. But one could also draft one of the raved guys in this year's draft at 3, with the plans to use them as a trade asset going into next years draft in order to further solidify the chances at obtaining one of the top 3 picks in next year's draft, or outright trade for Cooper during the draft. It may not be likely, but if we don't trade this year's top pick we have, then I see this as the only other sensible option there. Basically just swapping out from this year's to next year's class.
    – This team adores drafting and signing nothing but athletic "high potential" wings and guards. We consistently have a massive backlog season after season at those positions. We need to refocus both on need and fit rather than potential and athleticism/"small ball" related shenanigans. Versatility at each position is far superior to style-specific signings and drafting.

Also, I want to add in that Dalano belongs as no more than a second string guy, and Toumani needs to start at the 3.
