Led by Joel Embiid’s Playoff career-high 50 points (13-19 FG, 5-7 3pt. FG), the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the New York Knicks, 125-114. Embiid added 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the 76ers, while Tyrese Maxey added 25 points and 7 assists in the victory. Jalen Brunson tallied 39 points and a Playoff career-high 13 assists for the Knicks. The 76ers trail the Knicks, 2-1, in this best-of-seven series, with Game 4 taking place on Sunday, April 28 (1:00 pm/et, ABC).
Embiid is the third 76ers player to record 50+ points in a postseason game, joining:
Allen Iverson (3x)
Billy Cunningham

It's been over 25 years since these teams have gone against each other in the Playoffs. Heck, Barkley was a 76er! I'm relishing this series. I've no favorite, but want a 7 game series.

I don’t care if Joel stays in the paint and doesn’t run out on Knicks player taking open three point shots or don’t jump extra high to block shots. His offense scoring is much more needed than defense for his team. All he has to do is play tall keep his hands up for the shorter New York players driving to the basket forcing them to shoot over his hands. Good to see Philly coach playing Paul Reed where when he is on the court they can really attack New York from a defensive standpoint. This match is giving game seven vibes as Philly could have won the last game played in New York.
