Tom Thibodeau questions ‘marginal contact on’ Joel Embiid in Knicks’ Game 3 loss at 76ers | SNY
Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau summed up his team’s 125-114 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers by repeatedly saying “we’ve got to do better.” Thibodeau also said Philadelphia responded well at home, and New York now needs to also make adjustments after the Game 3 loss.

Basically, the nba wants these types of dirty plays because they attract more views, more feeds, more attention, and finally, more people focused on them, adding to their value. The rules don't apply during the playoffs until the puppet masters pull certain strings and focus on completely off-topic nonsense to distract you once again.
