All kidding aside, PP has really put in effort at improving his defense (and rebounding) throughout his time with the Cs. He just lacks the physical tools. Hauser was actually known for his defensive and rebounding effort in college, but the NBA is a major adjustment… Like PP, his ability to anticipate where rebounds are headed is excellent, and he definitely fights for them. Defensively, his athleticism and physical tools are somewhat lacking, but he is getting a little stronger, so teams that hunt him have a harder time backing him down. They’re serviceable, but I wish that the Cs had a reliable, strong and athletic defensive option on the bench who can defend guards and wings effectively. Right now, it seems that Coach Mazzulla doesn’t trust what he has to even expand the shortened playoff bench by even one player. They had better pray that nothing happens to Jrue and DWhite to cause either to miss any time in these playoffs…

Jrue is one of my favourite athletes out there in terms of who he is as a human being, on top of the player part.
Hauser, White and Korndog are our top 3 defenders, so it’s no surprise.
