Somebody with the sixers – morey, adelman, Josh Harris, embiid, literally anybody, needs to buy up tix in MSG and bus sixers fans up there

  2. Embarrassing how no one on the sixers can step up and grab an offensive rebound. Have some heart.

Edit: yes meant defensive rebound.. basically just show me anything

  3. SixersPlsDont

It’s a bandwagon team we could be a team in bumfuck Montana and there would still be alot of Knicks fans.

They are like the lakers, Yankees, cowboys, a lot of bandwagons a lot of “cultural” fans.

  4. runricky34

The answer is a combination of NYC vs Philly prices, decades of knicks irrelevance, sixers fan burnout after repeated postseason failings, and a bunch of high energy plays like offensive rebounds that juiced the away fans and quieted ours.

  5. TheSource777

I’d enjoy this if we beat them down at msg lol. More power to them.

  6. 76ersPhan11

Classiest fans in the country lol it’s a 1 pm game, kids everywhere and they’re chanting fuck Embiid

Trolls spending more time on our sub than their own

I hope somehow seeing Wells Fargo center get taken over and losing these games tears into them and Nick tears into them and we come back and win.

  8. CoronaryWranger

On Thursday night, when they lost, they all went from jumping up and down to scurrying out like the cockroaches, these guys are worse than Cowboys fans

  9. PepperWoodcraft

They beat us on and off the court, fair and square.

  10. FancyKilerWales

Years of disappointment and choking will do that, no one to blame but the team themselves

  11. FriendofMaudie

You know y’all are able to buy those tickets, too, right? They take over our court because the tickets are available. If you weren’t there, they wanted those seats more than you did, and they got ’em.

  12. IronChefPhilly

Want better fan support put a better team on the court. Its that simple

  13. iiiiiiiidontknowjim

Well, they havnt been to the playoffs in like 30 years so it kinda makes sense

  14. I know a guy who buys tickets to Red Sox and Yankees roads games all over the country, and makes $5k a year reselling them on StubHub. He lives in Delco.

  15. Lots of people who need some ozempic is all I see

  16. Immediate-Tonight-31

It aint over till it’s over sixers in 7.

  17. BruderBobody

Everyone saying how did they take over the stadium but none of the people saying this bought a ticket…

  18. As a Celtics fan, you’ll never convince me we’re worse than the Knicks. Sixers in 7.

  19. Fuh_Fook_Sake

Imagine if Jeffrey Lurie or John Middleton owned this team, hell i’d even take Comcast.

  20. Will_Knot_Respond

Well one easy way to deal with that is to just fucking win at home lol

  21. DisGuyFawks

Why didn’t you buy the tickets on resale market instead of the Knicks fan? You have no right to complain unless you bought tickets

  22. TraditionalMove2743

i already tuned out and into the Phils this season..just like clockwork.

  23. AlwaysSunnyPhilly2

This would happen to any team that was 2 hours away from NYC. But because we *are* the only team 2 hours from NYC, it only happens to us, so other fanbases think they can dunk on us for this, even though it would happen to them too. Ugh.

  24. ActuaryAware3551

Cause no one bothers to watch the sixers after they are ass every year

  25. PanquequesMalos

Idk I kinda love this energy. Winners win, our sixers are losers rn and fans are done coddling.

    Can’t encourage mediocrity!

  26. HeadupTothePOCONOS

Yeah we’re just soft. Their team and fans want it more. Sad but true.

  27. icepickjones

Everyone is getting mad about it and blaming the Sixers and saying shit like “oh boo hoo the team is shit so the fans don’t care”

    A few things though:

    – First, the team isn’t shit. It’s a good team with the reigning MVP on it. Everyone needs to chill out with that talk. The roleplayers aren’t stepping up but our damn superstar is playing his guts out on one leg and with a half paralyzed face. I mean come the fuck on. We got fucked by the refs in game 2. The series should be tied, but whatever.

    – Second, New York City has a population of 8.3 million people. This one city alone has more people in it than 38 entire states in this country.

    – New York is close as shit to Philadelphia.

    – The Knicks have sucked for 30 fucking years. This is the first time they have a mildly decent team.

What’s this all mean? It means it’s a numbers game. It’s a 90 minute train ride down from NY, with a fanbase that’s fucking massive, in a city with a lot of money.

They are scooping up every second hand ticket for 3 times the price and not blinking.

And here’s another splash of cold water – it could happen to the Phillies or the Eagles or whoever else. Don’t act like this is a sixers problem, it’s a “biggest fucking city in the world is next door” problem. The Knicks are beloved in New York, if the Yankees went through a drought like that and then suddenly were able to pop off – they would absolutely take over CBP as well.

And honestly even with the price premium, I think it was still cheaper to come here than probably to try and get tickets to MSG.

  28. Charliebitme1234

lmaooooooo philly fans are always fairweather, remember the phillies vs dbacks series lol

  29. Muted-Theory1100

Been to Fairmount recently? They took that over a few years ago, it’s a NYC suburb now.

  30. The team having an extensive recent history of choking and getting outhustled is probably a factor.
