The Mavericks are going to take this series. Nobody on the Mavs has gone off yet. Haven't had a Luka game. Tonight was KINDA a Kawhi game. Haven't gone off from 3. Haven't really dominated the paint.
All that, and the Mavs are STILL 2-2 after 4 games? The Clippers have had multiple guys go off, and at times the team has just lit up the Mavs, but still the Mavs have clawed back into every game and even come back from a 30 point deficit?
The fact is, there is no amount of asskick that will keep the Mavs down, but when the Mavs have a run, the Clippers lose their composure. Russel Westbrook is the ultimate example of this.
Clips just shot 63% from 3 today. That… is how you blow teams out… only that's not what happened. That outrageous 3 point shooting got y'all a huge lead, and by the end of the game, that lead was only 5. That's pretty pathetic considering that Kyrie was the only Maverick with an above-average game.
All things considered, the Mavericks have had 4 below average games… and it will probably take 3 more for the Clippers to take the series. I don't think the Mavs are going to have 7 consecutive below average games. I think this could very well go to game 7 though and when game 7 is here and everyone's out of tricks, it's going to come down to which team can make the better decisions, and that person is going to be Luka. If the Clippers are going to win, they need to do it before game 7.
