I said it all year, Brandon Ingram is NOT that guy. He's a decent compliment piece only for spot-ups and middy bail outs. The game moves at a much faster pace than he does. He's too indecisive with the ball, always looks to shoot first, no creation off the dribble, low defense IQ, and is too light. When defense got heavy on him, he was stopped in his tracks. JV is too just too slow. Trey Murphy is too jumpy on defense and suspect as hell with the ball. His shots always look like prayers and you can tell he only hits because of volume practice. He wants to be a star but he doesn't have the factor. Needs to embrace his role and get outta his own head. CJ is a wild man, runs straight into traffic and looks for the first thing that develops. Sloppy ball at its best. Jordan Hawkins is a pure shooter and should have been developed more for times like this. Not understanding why Zion doesn't invest in talking with a vet to get advice on conditioning his lower extremities. He could go the MJ route and take some ballet for conditioning. That was one of the smartest things I've ever heard of an athlete doing. If I were him, I'd take a long study of my Duke days and strive to get back there. He's bottom heavy, period. Of course his hamstring gave way. You can tell he doesn't stretch or focus on his legs much. I get a Charlie-horse just watching him walk! I love the guy but damn that attitude frustrates me. Willie Green has those two ( B.I. and Trey ) thinking they are more than they actually are. Will always screw up a system when roles aren't defined. He's (Willie Green) is a deer in the headlights at best.They def need to fix things. Flat out got burned this series.
The four games against O.C. the Pelicans made 39.6% of their F.G. and 27% of 3-pt. They averaged 89.5 in the four games pitiful. B.I. made 34.5% of his F.G , 25% of 3-pt attempts and averaged 12.5 points in the four games. I said at the end of last year they should trade C.J. but didn't. Now to me they should also look to trade B.I.

BI should've used this for people to talk about the team and not mention Z. Because of that egg, they'd still talk only about zion when they mention the pelicans. Plus, I think it's about goals that they set. They only set their sights on making the playoffs, nothing more and when they achieved that, they somehow checked out.

One topic I would love to hear discussed is the front office/gm. I like Griff but I am a massive Trajan fan and honestly wouldn’t mind if the pels moved on from Griff and promoted Trajan, especially because if they don’t I expect Trajan to be hired away in the next season or so.

Fired Griff, that is the problem. Griff and Willie believes that BI is the franchise. They could have traded BI, CJ, and Nance to ATL for Clint Capello and Deante Murry and would have made it to the conference finals at least. Capello, Murry, Zion , Hawkins, and Herb could have been a good starting five. And used JV along with Murphy coming off the bench.
Spot on in the opening Jake, we have some of the best role players in the league but our supplementary stars are this. Both gone please. They dont fit well with Zion and arent great individually. Get rid.
Just 8-9 months ago people were saying BI and Antman were the best 2 players on the FIBA squad… anyway, let's not read too much into this being a close game. OKC missed tons of WIDE open 3s, like in Game 1. Had they been in regular form, it wouldn't have been close at all. 4-0 for a 1-8 series, nice try.

Been saying that from Game 1. Nobody talking about the coach. Does he even know how to draw plays? Playoffs is about strategy and more like a chess. Willie. G knows nothing. No adjustments made to get anybody easy looks. Clearly, OKC had a strategy and they were able to implement it because Willie G had no counter-moves. Bum.
