You know that his father has been talking SOME SHIT if he feels bold enough to post this. Bron wouldn’t allow such contempt to come from his family unless it was sanctioned

Mitch Richmond on Phil Jackson:
>I’ve been in places where we’re watching the game and we’re like, geez, why is he so calm? You know, his team is in trouble, they just went on a 10-0 run and he doesn’t call a timeout!
The criticism of Ham using timeouts sparingly is completely misguided. It’s as if everyone forgot that the winningest coaches in NBA history did the same thing.
Ham is simply following the lead of coaches like Phil Jackson in spurning timeouts on purpose to let his players learn to trust themselves.
Phil Jackson and Darvin Ham were aware that most coaches call timeouts in certain situations, due mostly because most coaches don’t trust their players, but Jackson and Ham did trust their players (Jordan and Pippen, Shaq and Kobe, LeBron and AD) and they were never trying to be like most coaches.
Who else had a reputation for unorthodox usage or non-usage of timeouts?
Gregg Popovich Pat Riley Red Auerbach Steve Kerr
To understand why Ham and Jackson have reputations for not calling timeout, consider what Gregg Popovich said in 2014 about the futility of calling timeouts:
>Sometimes in timeouts I’ll say, ‘I’ve got nothing for you. What do you want me to do? We just turned it over six times. Everybody’s holding the ball. What else do you want me to do here? Figure it out.’ And I’ll get up and walk away. There’s nothing else I can do for them. I can give them some bulls—, and act like I’m a coach or something, but it’s on them.
Ham and Jackson skip the BS and don’t even call the timeout. It is a totally legitimate choice for a coach to make.
Although there are various aspects of Ham’s coaching style open to criticism, his approach to timeouts should not be among them. Ham’s boldness and resolve in refraining from calling timeouts, where most coaches might, really sets him apart in a positive way.
