Yes I’m glad we got a mature veteran who’s helped be a steadying force in the locker room all season and a mentor for Ja, GG, Pippin Jr, and that’s just the ones who shouted him out specifically. Everyone in the entire organization has appreciated Rose, and I’d rather have him than a rabid force of hustle who gets easily frustrated, teaches dirty defense, and clashes with his teammates.
PatBev definitely plays winning basketball (although he’s getting older too, 36 next year), but his influence on our roster this year would have been worse, and he wouldn’t have moved the dial. Not like we wanted to win *more* games with everyone else injured.
